We (the FursuitUp Studio) reserves the right to decline commissioners that are under 18 years old. We are reserve the right to deny service to anyone.
We are usually providing work in progress photos, videos, streams for our customers, and always keep in touch via chat or email to make sure you (customers) are up to date with our work. So this procedure may have seem a lot to take in first, but we are really committed to make it the easiest and safest for you.
The First Step for qoutes and commissions
Note or e-mail to us with character reference sheets, pictures, arts of your character.
We can calculate the price if We know what you want to see.
We will require picture(s) about your wish, and just a description is not will be enough.
If you do not have any pictures about your concept, we can make your own character sheet and design, just contact us and we will let you know the details.
Besides the infos and pictures you have to decide what kind of costume you want. You can find the list of customizable items here: http://www.fursuitup.com/test/customfursuit
If you don’t find something there feel free to ask about it. Probably we can make it.
We work with starting prices. It means: all additional details will cost you more.
(Head starting like: one fur color, toonie eyes, non moving jaw, sewn nose, handmade teeth. If you want following eyes, realistic jawset, 3 fur color, hair, moving jaw, etc. all high up the final price. It's also can be higher, if you have extreme sizes.)
QUOTES
Send an email to grion.wolffox[at]gmail.com with a reference sheet and detailed description of your commission request. We can also make a custom design for you, if you don't have a reference about your character, just make sure you properly explained your idea.
We will then send back the price, time plan and our availability. Sending a quote doesn't reserve your place on our client list.
Your personalized price quote is valid for 2 months, after that you have to re-submit your quote as the pricing system or certain aspects of my costume building may have changed in at the time.
In the fursuit pack you will get a free fursuit plan and a badge beside the suit. But it is after the first payment! The first calculated price NOT includes shipping! So you have to think in advance of shipping price and the fees.
PAYMENT
FursuitUP only accepts payment through PAYPAL in EUR. You have to pay by two installments. Deposit is 50% and not refundable, this price is needed for the materials. We will ask the for the first payment with a PayPal invoice.
After when everything is arrived what's needed for the fursuit, we will start making it immediately.
Lots of suit makers ask 100% payment before start the work, but we will ask for the second half after the product is finished, and we will ask the other part of the payment with a PayPal invoice.
You have two weeks to pay, if don't pay in time, we will just stop working and we will work on other art/suits and you will be placed on the bottom of the client list.
If you do not pay in 8 weeks at all, we will keep the fursuit as our own and finish up how we like to and put it up to auction as new-never used fursuit. So please, remember this time limit!
In the second payment the shipping cost is included. Shipping is calculated after fully done fursuit, because shipping is always up on weight. We will let you know the price after measuring via e-mail. After shipment payed, we ship out your suit in one week.
Completion and Deadlines
Completion dates can not be predicted exactly, however we will try to provide you a rough estimate of when your suit may be completed.
If want fursuit IN TIME for a convention or an event is fine, but think before order. If you order it before one month, it is not possible to finish it. So please consider ordering it 5-6 months earlier.
We will not guarantee suits for con deadlines, we don't want to rush our work and provide you with less than the best quality we can offer.
Sizes and Measurement
We will discuss in detail the required measurements via e-mail after the first payment is completed.
If you ordered a full fursuit, you need to sent a Duct Tape Dummy(DTD) over to us with pair of shoes (or more pair of shoes, if you order more feetpaws), and one A4 sized paper with drawing of your own palm.
Poor quality duct tape dummies may be returned and you will be asked to remake them. The better the duct tape dummy is, the better the suit will fit. Specify fitting preference before the suit is made if you want a certain type of fit (baggy, medium, tight, etc). If you are planning on growing, loosing or gaining weight, or changing any size of your body, wait to make the duct tape dummy until after you have completed your physical change. We will keep future body changed in mind at your request. For example, if you plan on gaining weight after the suit is made, we can make the body larger than your current body size. The tighter the costume fits, the less range of motion you will have. The looser the body fits, the more range of motion you will have.
We would not like to buy shoes for you, because we don’t know what's comfortable for your leg. We recommend you to buy a really lightweight shoe, without laces, probably a piece you can easily step into, but you can jump or run without falling.
Customer is accountable for shipping the DTD and shoes. Lost packages are not our responsibility and we recommend to include insurance to ensure a refund even if the package is lost in transit.
CONCEPT ART
With paying the price you will got a 'fursuit plan' made by Grion. All commissioners get a 'fursuit plan' with the fursuit!
It is a sketchy character-sheet about your costume. Written on any important information. (Like: moving or non moving jaw, latex pawpads or leather, toonie or following eyes, etc.)
When we show you the plan, you can change things or let us know if something is left out. AFTER the accepted fursuit plan you still can change on your fursuit, but only small changes, and only for plus payment because of the extra work (Like: make pawprint on a butt.) But large changes are not possible. (For example make a digitigrade suit instead of plantigrade, etc.)
SHIPPING
Shipping worldwide. Shipping costs are not included in the price of any costume, they will be an additional charge.
Shipping is calculated after the fursuit is finished, because shipping is always up on weight.
We will let you know the price after measuring via e-mail. Shipping costs may vary and should be expected to pay an additional fee for insurance.
The shipping cost is added to the second payment.
After shipment payed, we ship out your suit in one week. We ship it in the best way over to you, with tracking number and the shortest shipping.
EU: 6-10 working days
US: 7-14 working days
We are NOT responsible for any lost or damage received product!
Sometimes we attend to furry cons, and in these cases we can offer to give you the suit personally. If you would like to to get your suit at a con what we are attending, instead of the shipping price you have to pay for a container box or a suitcase what we will give you with your fursuit.
Returns and Warranty, Repairs
No refunds are given in any cases.
We will accept returns for repairing within 30 days, only with reasonable excuse, for eg. buyer's remorse is not a reasonable excuse.
If there is a defect or the costume does not fit properly it can be returned and fixed for free, but the customers have to pay shipping both ways unless it was a very large mistake on our part.
We will not accept suits that have been abused/damaged in any way, normal wear and tear is fine, but lack of care, staining, modification will terminate the warranty, and the damaged costume will be shipped back to the customer.
If you decide to return a suit (within the 30 days) the condition of the item will be measured and it will be repaired.
Customer is accountable for all shipping on returns, lost costumes are not our responsibility and we recommend you - when returning suits for repair - to include insurance to ensure a refund even if the costume is lost in transit.
We will do repairs/airbrushing - as long as the suit is clean and not in an extremely poor condition all over - for the whole life of the suit, any and all charges for this service are under the artist’s discretion and any serious repairs or modification that are done by anyone other than the creator of the costume will terminate the repair warranty.
All repairs either large or small will be charged a fee. All repairs are subject to be declined based off of scheduling conditions. We cannot guarantee getting repairs fixed ASAP in all situations.
If the costume has been completed and there is something that you don't think is right and you'd like it to be changed let us know and we will tell you if it can or cannot be changed. If it is our fault for not following your reference artwork or the directions stated in the quote then no charges will be made for the modification but if it is something that was not mentioned by the commissioner or not stated/shown on the reference artwork and/or it is our own interpretation of it (eg. The fur is not the right shade even though it matches the reference) then a fee will be charged to cover the modification cost.
Cancelling commissions
We reserve the right to cancel any commission at any stage if the customer becomes highly unreasonable, threatening and/or violent.
Once an order has been made and the materials have been bought and are being used, large changes are unacceptable.
If you wish to cancel your commission at any time we can send you the already finished if you pay for the shipping, but no refunds are given.
We also have the right to not accept orders of copyrighted characters or 'blacklisted' commissioners.
We are allowed to change and edit this Term of Service at any time.
