While its all still speculative, some scientists think larger dinosaurs may have had feathers as well, in areas of colder climate and whatnot (insulation, covering the skin from sun exposure, display, ect). Some say Juvenile tyrannosaurs may have had feather coverings and adults may have as well. Of course no one is 100% sure yet but I like that idea myself.
