"Yes, I'm sick, officer. Sick from the disease eating away at me inside. Sick of people who don't appreciate their blessings. Sick of those who scoff at the suffering of others. I'm sick of it all!"
-John Kramer aka Jigsaw (Saw 1)
For years I've enjoyed the Saw film series and it's protagonist, Jigsaw. I wanted to breath new life into the character by introducing him into the furry community. The mysterious and often insidious crux species seemed like a great fit.

I have the artist vanchamarl to thank for this incredible piece. Her(?) style is a wonderful fit for Jigsaws not very cutesy personality.

MORE ABOUT THIS CHARACTER (DARK/DISTURBING THEMES)
This character will have a dark theme around art that he is included in, such as gore, horror, violence, or otherwise twisted or macabre imagery, just to name a few examples.
After his unborn son was miscarried due to a freak accident, his marriage started to falter and in time his wife left him. A short time after that he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer from an unsympathetic doctor. Consumed by depression and hatred for those who had wronged him he literally drove himself to suicide by driving his car off of a cliff. Amazingly he survived, although the wreck had left his leg impaled. While isolated in the wreckage with unspeakable pain, he managed to remove the piece that had impaled him and crawl to safety. After that moment he realized how strong the will can be to survive even in the most helpless or frightful circumstances. He then dedicated the remainder of his life to testing others will to live through deadly trials which often used crude devices and disturbing psychological mechanics.
He does not actively partake in acts of violence or horror himself, instead, his actions are conducted through an insane about of planning and staging the 'traps' he builds using his skills in engineering. He is always several steps ahead of his victims before they even realize that they are partaking in his "game", ensuring that the only way they may live is by passing the test he has laid for them. Unfortunately, the means for which his victims to succeed often times requires self-mutilation.
Although Jigsaw does not wish death for any of his subjects, he is not heavily burdened by their murders. He primarily tests individuals with his deadly trials who are at risk of ending their own lives through means of self-destruction, or those who are actively destroying others lives through abuse or apathy.

Me too, I tend to like that style in general a lot in any species...
Agreed. I used to enjoy the artist NinjaWeasels work for that reason, I don't know if they're still active these days though. Do you know of any good artists who draw in that sort of lanky/sharp style?
Not really unfortunately. :C I usually see it with Crux artists, or at least when they DO draw Cruxes. darth-kitsu draws lanky Cruxes, from what I've seen.
I used to draw lanky sometimes, but that was more inspired by Vasquez' style.

I love you right now.
The original Jigsaw was a wonderful character, but after Crae left it to others, the movies lost meaning to me and I was no longer captivated.
Most people are so ungrateful to be alive...
But not you...
Not anymore.

I agree, towards the end of the series it became very much: "...wut..." Still, I stayed with it to the end and I don't regret a thing.
Glad you like this though!

hm... crux fits cramer way too well O.o
Thank you, I'm glad you think so too. You're icon is so cute btw... I've seen that template around a lot and it always makes me smile inside with how cute it is.
Of course, always pleased to meet another crux fan! I'm super jealous of your crux fursuit (or all your suits) as well! Hopefully I'll run into you someday!
Thank you! If ya ask nice enough I might put you into it.
Which future cons are you going to?
Which future cons are you going to?
RainFurrest is the most likely, but I won't know until later.
Jigsaw will likely be the first character I commission a suit of so we can go cruxing together hopefully!

He's obviously not meant to be a good character, but I'm sorry you feel that way!
"Some call it karma, I call it justice" no hurt feelings, I respect you point of view
