Wreck-it Ralph and his li'l buddy Vanellope, as dogs - a Leonberger and a Papillon, specifically.
Why, you ask? Oh don't worry, I have it covered.
Turns out a part-time assistant at Litwak's is a bit of a gamer himself, and on lunch breaks, he sets up his own consoles in the back room. Since this guy I totally made up also happens to be kind of an ironic hipster-type, he plays obscure and arguably terrible games like Tecmo's Secret of the Stars. While the SNES is connected to Game Central Station, Badbad, the antagonist of Secret of the Stars, pops in to spread some of his usual chaos, namely, the Dog Spell.
And if you think Ralph's pissed, you should see Pacman.
To un-dog-ify themselves, they'll need to find Badbad, and retrieve the Dog Pill.
What's that?
This is the worst idea ever?
Well I didn't come up with it, Tecmo did.

Ah, but Badbad has LONG been surpassed, by Badwrong (which some scholars believe is also known as Badong), a philosophical discussion of reality espoused by the main character of Kung-Pow: Enter the Fist! He eventually decided that he must stand for the opposite of Badong, which is Gnodab.

Yeah I have to be honest, I CAN'T TELL if Tecmo's Secret of the Stars is trying to be funny or not.
It's just...it's so perfectly perched on the edge between "terrible and therefore funny", and "trying to emulate terrible and making it funny".
I've never researched it, I wonder if anyone's ever come forward and said, "we were kidding", or "we think we really outdid ourselves here."

Plus, it looks like it could ALMOST run on an NES, and unless I'm mistaken, it's a deep-into-the-SNES's-run title so.

I IMMEDIATELY fell in LOVE with this movie. Soooo much. I went and saw it 3 times in theaters. Guh. And as soon as it came out on BluRay got the 3D collector's edition even though I don't have a 3D tv. But one day I shall.
I get choked up at the end when he does what he has to, to save Vanelope. <3
