Why's the bat got bolts in it? Shouldn't they be nails with the pointy bit sticking out?

I suppose that would depend on whether or not you're hitting someone with unbreakable skin wrapped around more breakable insides.

This is SMT after all!

Plus, artistically, bolts are more original.
