I need something bad but I don't even know what it is. I have tried everything I
do day to day to keep myself occupied, but I'm tired of doing those things. I am
not tired enough to go to bed but I'm tired enough to not do anything. The words
fly by as I write and my thoughts fly apart. I don't even know what I'm writing
anymore. I'm just... so tired. So very, very tired. I'll go and take a walk out
to the woods and see if I find out what keeps bothering me and if I can stop it.
...
Probably you people who read this won't believe me because not even I believe
what I just saw. I was, as I said before, taking a walk in the woods. The
moonlight shone on the top of the trees and came down with enough strength to
light the floor. My thoughts flew by in a millisecond and were replaced by
others which disappeared just as fast. I passed the creek in which I usually sit
on to read, write or play songs. I passed the trees that I knew and ventured
inner into the woods than I had ever before. I didn't realize I didn't know
where I was until I kicked a rock and it went flying to a nearby tree. I didn't
give importance to it until I saw a gash on the tree. Probably made by the rock,
I thought. But then I saw around myself and saw how all the trees had a gash,
exactly the same size, exactly the same wide. I walked on, thinking of it as an
oddity. But then I found it.
The cabin was a big one. With two floors and 20 square meters it was the biggest
house I had seen in a very long while. I wanted to go inside, but something
shouted at me in the back of my mind and made me hesitate. After a small pause I
decided to ignore that voice. I knocked the door to see if anyone was in there.
No answer. I knocked again and the door opened with my knocks. I started to open
the door ever so slowly and it made way to an old fashioned living room. I
stepped in and heard a creak. When I realized I had made it I calmed down. There
was nothing inside except dust and spider webs. And a choice.
I saw stairs that led me up and stairs that led me down. I decided it was creepy
enough to go upstairs, but way too creepy to go down. I went up. I took every
step up with anticipation, longing to find out... I don't know. But I wish I
hadn't. The stairs ended in a small hallway with only two doors. I walked forth
and opened the first one. I dicovered a bathroom without shower. Everything in
it seemed just like the rest of the house, old and dusty, except for the
toothbrush which wasn't that screwed. But it might as well had been. I walked on
and opened the second door. At first I didn't see anything because the room had
no windows. But my eyes were able to capture the little light that came through
the small holes in the walls and saw a human figure. I could see it was a woman
and a barely naked one. I saw some ropes around her neck and on her back. I
would have probably just turn around and ran but I saw her eyes. They were a
blue so light they almost seemed like if they were made of water, but... filled
with light. She was pleading me to set her free with her stare. She didn't say a
word; she just...looked at me. I decided to set her free anyway I could. I went
behind her and started to see if the ropes at her neck and eyes gave out. They
didn't. I went to see the
ropes in her back and saw the shape of her hands tied. I felt that it was just
usual rope. I took out the knife I had bought for myself in my birthday and cut
it. She raised her hands and moonlight caught them. They were brownish, but in a
way that in no possible way it could be skin. She reached for her neck and tore
apart the the rest of the ropes she had she had. I jumped out of surprise and
found myself in the floor. I saw her getting up, ever so graciously and looked
at me over her shoulder with her blue eyes. No, not blue, cyan. A thread of
light caught her on the face and I could see she was covered with fur. She had
a small snout and pointed ears. She seemed someone out of a mythology story, a
half wolf half human.
"Who's there?" asked a voice downstairs. She turned around and ran to the
hallway. She jumped over the rail that was made of wood. "What...? Ah, No,
AAHHHHHHHH". The man's scrams were what made focus. I stood up and ran over to
the railing. I saw a body lying down in the floor, covered all over with blood.
I saw the door shutting after a brown tail passed through it. I stood there
watching the body and a single thought kept repeating itself inside my head:
I did this. I went downstairs and saw the body more closely. It had been torn
apart by a pair of four claws at his belly and he had bite marks on the neck.
He seemed to have had 40 years, growing a little bit of beard, but enough to
see it was grey. I stood there for eternity and for no time at all when I
decided I had to get out. I shut the door behind me and started to run wherever
I had come from. I made my way to the place of gashed trees and realized they
werent marks, but four deep cuts. Just like the ones the guy had. I panicked
even more and ran faster to my house. I remember splashing myself in the way, so
I think I passed the creek. I reached my house and opened the door to find
myself in home sweet home. I started to walk around the house and checked one
window. I thought I saw a pair of cyan eyes in a bush but told myself it was a
game of the light and that I was being paranoid. I started pondering the
question. Should I call the cops, should I run away, should I be calm,
should I...But decided to not call the cops. It was probable they wouldn't
beleive me and I couldn't say it had ben an animal. Also, how do I explain the
way I found him?. My thoughts went back to the dead guy. He had died because of
me, I'm the reason he died. I climbed the stairs and found myself vomiting on
the toilet, leaving the horrible taste of acids on my tongue. I washed it and
took a warm bath, feeling like I was being watched the whole time. I am now
writing this down in my bed and in my underwear. What was it, or better said,
what was she? I have no idea. Is she stalking me? I hope not. Will she kill me,
just like she did to that guy? I don't know. But I hope I don't have to see her
again. I cant help but feeling she is out there, watching me in this very
moment.
