How many man hours did this take you?? Like...looking at ALLLL those sequins! And the fabric is just brilliant! It really is amazing work to look at dude!! <3 Can just stare at all those details forever!!

Man, those sequins still blow me away, especially in how you managed to capture their reflectiveness and the way they gradient over the clothing folds- which look really well done as well, evenmoreso around the torso where they capture a lot of volume and bring out the anatomy.
Plus, dat 'fro, I know I've said it before, but you did an awesome job with the texture, you're a friggin' machine!

Cheers! just made a circle brush with a hole in the middle of it combined with dynamic colours to make them shine different shades, then it was just blending them with the folds.
all about the lighting and thank you for being around when I was working on this too <3

See, I would've done them all individually instead of being clever like that, hahahaha. It worked out great too! Bet you could use a similar method for rendering scales as well.
And not a problem! <3
It's always a pleasure to hang around and try to negate any need to roll for a morale check or leadership test. =D

ohh that could be an idea :0c should of done something like that for feathers too!
Definitely something for future reference/experimentation then! Though I think you've got feathers and fur pretty down pat as it is. D=
*grins* I love this so much!
Brilliant work on the feathers, Stu! So pretty!
Glad you made it to FurDU and hope you had as much fun as we did!
...Also, on a side note - look at all those interesting characters in the background! =3 <3

Wow, it interesting when two people worked on one theme, but absolute on yourself.
Always neat to see other people have their own take on a similar brief for sure :]

hahaha thanks bol! getting a better idea to vary those surfaces, the texturing work I'm doing seems to be paying off!
Alright Stu, now you're pushing the boundaries :D Wonderful rendering, and the WIP submission is extra special too. Loved the way you finished up with pure classy typography!

Really nice piece here! Very pleasing to look at, and I think platypus actually somehow fits the character of Ruby Rhodd very well! The attention to detail is astonishing -- I'm floored by the accuracy of the lighting and textures!
yeah it started to make more sense having Ruby as a platypus when I was working on it haha.
Thanks FD just have to keep pushing those details more and more with every pic!

Oh, also! You chose a perfect animal to represent that character, (name eludes me currently), something exotic yet showy. x3
Wonderful rendering. : P
