Fat Ass Santa - Alpha Testing
So here is a quick shot from my birthday this last Sunday. I broke out my board game I am designing, Fat Ass Santa. I was hoping peeps had other pictures, but everyone was mostly interested in playing and learning that they too barely got any snap shots. I'll do it next time. I'll be at ACEN in Chicago (unless work messes up) and will have this with me to be play tested.
If you've missed my journals on it, you each are playing a "want to be Santa" Santa, and must deliver to enough houses. Each delivery lets you raid the fridge, gorging yourself to become the Fatest Santa. You have stats that help you with the game, and you can go Nice [takes longer] or Naughty [Less actions, but chance or not getting to deliver]
Its a small pill of rules to swallow like any new game, but after 3-4 turns, everyone had a better understanding of how to play and enjoyed themselves. My sister was laughing at each Naughty Card, as there is humor with each one. What kind? Well, the game is called Fat Ass Santa (though may go by Fatty Santy or The Fatest Santa for production) but we have cards such as "Leaky Sac" which made her nearly snort. You could get racked on a banister, Jerky the snowman could come after you, or the Derpy Elves gotta come bring you gifts cause you ran out.
More to come, but this is why I've been offline.

Thank you. So far all have enjoyed it. I got it down to around an hour gameplay. You have the choice on where to go, how to deliver, and what you upgrade, which has received positive reviews. I'll have more images & such after this weekend. Going to a convention and hope to get people to play it there too. :3
Thank you. I thank my friend Isaac for his help in focusing me. I kept getting so rushed into making changes and the like, that he reminded me I need to playtest more than once before each change. It has developed quite a bit. It used to be more abstract, lots of random dice that just slogged the game down. Now it has been tightened, stream lined, and most people pick it up within 3 turns and have a full grasp of the game.
I got a game store owner to play it and he LOVED it. Laughing, had a good time, and got important timing questions when it came to the device cards. Same with my sister, as she said "I've only ever played UNO, so explain it all." That is the kind of feedback I want. To see how others perceive and grasp my game. My explainations and early writings are often hard to understand to anyone but me. ^^;
