I'm going to fave this because... because I love your artwork, and you have very reliably captured the unique art style of Steven Universe... and your concept here is an amusing mash of popular culture and furry fandom interests.......
....but oh God I could not stand that episode....

Gah, I know, he's just the cutest little guy--he has a big heart, and quite the imagination, so he's always fun. X3 And I agree with this assessment, Lion is awesome~ I think some of my favorite episodes are the ones where Lion is featured in some way, the silly pinkie. >w<
Also, I owe you thanks for recommending the series to me that while back. It took me a while to track down the site again since my computer burnt out last year, but I've enjoyed the cartoon immensely! ^w^

Haha, yeah, me too--I think the part I remember in regard to his being cat-like was when he was trying to get the party hat off of his head in "So Many Birthdays"(?)--and Steven's response was silly. XD I'm glad too, since the show has such a wonderful charm to it, and is really heartwarming, too~ The characters go through a lot, and you see so a lot of their character come through, and it's just...wow. As someone who loves character growth, and the like, this series just nails it very nicely! ^w^
It depends on your tastes, I suppose! I like it from a design standpoint in terms of what it does with color and character design, but the main draw for me is how the show explores complex interpersonal relationships/difficult emotional situations in an honest and often heartfelt manner.
I would like to add on to that. The show's main draw for the audience is its job of portrayal of non-standard characters and relationships found in kids cartoons, all while keeping the tone. It does a great job of representation and breaking stereotypes because of that!
It's main fault though is that you need to have patience when watching it, as it takes mostly from boy's standpoint of view, and less of actual gem adventures. It has a slow startup, as well as many several filler episodes, which are good to watch, but mostly amount a little to anything. Also, while the art and animation is exceptionally well done, the non-strict and soft lines causes some moments to become more narmy than intended.
Overall, give it a watch.

That's the thing about this show: Everytime a question is answered, more questions pop up! And yeah, it was established in "Rose's Scabbard" that the lion was Rose's but I guess we'll just have to be content with him simply being a magic lion until they get around to explaining what he is beyond that. *sighs deeply*
I love Lion! And Steven Universe! This is bittersweet though, as I heard it was getting cancelled :( I hope it isn't true, but it wouldn't surprise me...
As for your art, this is actually one of the things that brought the show to my attention, so thank you for this great art :)

It's definitely not getting cancelled (in fact, it was announced a month or two ago that it's renewed for a third season), someone just circulated that rumor because haha fandom uproar. :/
And you're very welcome! I'm glad me drawing fanart has been good for something! :'D

Saw this on your tumblr a ways back, and I'm happy to see it over here now in a higher resolution. :) And holy moly, I am just noticing how insane-o-popular all your tumblr posts are. I've never seen numbers that big before! :O Congrats on that. Well-deserved! :)
