What you coudl try to do is looka round your room for common objects and see how you can apply them to your character. One of the first things I tell people to try out is come up with three ideas with your character using a snowball. Then I follow that up with a pair of socks, and afterwards try to come up with three ideas using say, a chair.
In doing so, you get to do active and reactive arts, something silly, and some posing. If you're up for a challenge though you could somehow combine them all. The possibilities are endless.

That's exactly the point of the practice. People try to think up of ways the character can interact with an environment. Why not let the environment interact with the character? I wish you the best with your endeavors. You've always been such a cool and awesome artist. Why not practice now? I'm going to say an object and you could come up with two ideas.
Headphones.

Really quick, but I think I'll totally expand on this. Already getting the hang of it!

Same here man. Its a real crapshoot whether or not I can come up with anything. To make it worse is when i actually have an idea I dont have the time or willpower to make it happen lol.
I wish I had suggestions, but Ive been trying to get out of this loop for a while now.

you could do a fun exercise that involves picking three things ( a place you want to vacation at, a thing you love doing with friends, and your favorite piece of tech; phone, laptop, ect ) and input previous people you've drawn and/or your friends into so it's like a nice get together drawing :) ( sketch it out and just have fun with it :D ) take it slow and hope it helps
UGH. YES. THIS.
It's so true. I don't even think I'm an artist anymore. I don't have any ideas for my own work, which I rarely have time for anyway. When I do try to draw something for me I'm staring at a blank piece of paper with no fucking clue on how or what to create.
It's a real bitch to get out of this hole too when commissions are your only income.

may i suggest something?
Your art has become work, at least partially. That is nothing bad ! So seek for someone who is working a normal job AND is happy with it. Ask him/her how he keeps his work funny and entertaining and try to adapt it to your art-work. You would be astounded how creative so called boring jobs are done by some people!
