Hey guys, it's been over a week since I last updated, since I've been working for an art contest which I can't show you yet but will soon, but here is something nice. The first page of Kai and Kaya's webcomic!
The first page answers an important question about the world they live in that I saw a lot of people getting confused over. Are Kai and Kaya the only dragons/hybrids in the world? Are there humans? Why are their parents human? Well, here is the answer; Even science doesn't know, but it's a fact that it happens XD
It's as good a setup as anything :p
I also decided on the newspaper format for the comic. It gives me a lot of freedom without having to spend a couple hours on the layout of the page. I've been thinking a lot about the layout, but since I wanted to tell a story, but also have random things in between short story arcs, the newspaper format seems like the way to go. Kai and Kaya seemed to be more suited to this kind of comic anyway, with their shenanigans all the time XD
I'm aiming for a weekly update, since I have other projects running as well. This might mean that I will answer asks less frequently, as has been the case for a couple weeks now. I promise the comic will make up for this though.
tl;dr: I'm starting the webcomic for Kai and Kaya and I'm doing it in newspaper format because it seems the best way to go for them. Expect a weekly schedule. Tell me what you think about it ^^

Thanks! You have no idea how true that is, I've been having headaches about how to start my story. I originally wanted to start it in a school setting like I did with the teaser comic, but it never seemed to work out. This start has a clear explanation about hybrids without being a big information dump, and a funny twist at the end.
I also had a lot of trouble deciding on the format. Heck, I'm still not sure if it's the right format to go with, but I'll commit to this since I can't keep going back and forth between different formats all the time XD

I imagine there is a lot to learn about hybrid biology if it has only been 16 years. Must be a nightmare for doctors when they get injured. Hopefully since they have human parents I imagine that human blood and blood types are compatible. Heh, do they have tail casts if you break your tail in sports?
A little yes and a little no. I think the only similarities are the word 'hybrid' being used :p (I haven't watched Sweet Tooth yet) As you can see by the date, this comic page is way older than the Sweet Tooth Netflix series, and I only learned about Sweet Tooth through Netflix. I was surprised the author of Sweet Tooth also went with hybrids, but the focus of his and my story are way different. You will see when you read ^^
