If you're looking for 'normal' weather, Texas ain't it, lol. Our weather fluctuates weirdly, it'll change on a dime.
It leans toward super hot most of the time though, lol. I remember in 2011 we set a heat record in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It was at least 100 degrees (roughly 37 celcius) for 71 days that year. Including 40 days in a row... then the next four days were "only" 99 degrees, before another 20 days of 100+ degrees.
