Sue is the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus ever found. But even life as one of the largest predators of all time is not easy, as can be seen by these damaged vertebra, though it is unknown what caused the damage.
Sue resides in the entrance hall of the Field Museum in Chicago.

maybe the weight of her partner, when mating, or a fall... that looks painful
Looks to me more like a disease, like grout or something. If it was broken or crushed, you would be able to see the scar and healing tissue, but these are just distorted.
