Positive Traits
Patient - They seem to have patience unlike most people have seen. Waiting around is common for a Shadow, and patience as a trait had evolved as a result.

Quiet - They're used to being in the background and tend to be the way to find the best place for quiet. It's easy to talk their ear off as they'll humor you for it.

Neutral Traits
Reserved - Nyx is very reserved as a person and tends to keep to themselves a lot. They prefer not to share too much about themselves and try to avoid showing vulnerability in front of people. This tends to come off that Nyx seeming like a cold and uncaring person.

Loyal - Although Nyx is a ride or die to the end kind of friend, their loyalty is also their downfall. Even at the risk of themselves they'll do anything for someone they've sworn loyalty to.

Tenacious - When Nyx has a goal usually nothing will get in the way of that. However, if not careful Nyx will do whatever it takes and harm whoever to reach that goal.

Negative Traits
Explosive Anger - Nyx has a pretty violent temper akin to a feral beast. Nyx cannot be talked out of these amd will generally regard people as enemies during these times. It's best to leave Nyx to their own devices to calm down.

Self-Guilt - Nyx suffers from deep self-guilt when things go wrong. Even if Nyx wasn't the cause of what happened, Nyx will immediately default to assuming it was their fault the event happened.

Vengeful - Once Nyx is wronged there's no coming back. Nyx despises nothing else more than betrayal.

Backstory

Nyx wandered the world as an aimless and weak shadow. The only thing tugging them along was the want for a purpose. However, in the halls of a hospital they came across a sick little girl taking her last breaths. The girl begged Nyx to make sure her mother wouldn't be sad and that she was sorry. Nyx, in their desire for a purpose, made a rash decision and decided to take up the girl's place as it would satisfy the girl's criteria. But in the passing years after, Nyx began to crumble under their guilt of living a life that wasn't theirs. Nyx wasn't able to keep up the act convincingly as the girl's family kept asking how she had changed so much. Finally after another night of fighting with the girl's family, Nyx gave up and settled for just wandering listlessly through life again. Once they reached the chronological age the girl would be as an adult, Nyx left without looking back. But the heavy weight of failure hung over them. They spent the next years wandering and humoring their instincts as a shadow and feeding on the lives of others they felt deserved it.
