I walk through the desert, hide from the sun
All that I desire is you
Occasional water cools my thirst
All that I desire is you
[lyrics by Skillet]
*this is an idea that has been in my head for awhile. giving water to a mysterious stranger, who you see on your travel through the desert. he is grateful to see that your heart was kind to offer him some of your own precious water.

I wish people like this would die :/ Who gives a shit if you're first or second... COMMENT ABOUT THE IMAGE. I mean shit, nothing more pointless than wasting space... except for no comment.
Awesome work with this Zen, favorited as always ;3I love how you did the water, must have been a little tough to think up at first. At least it would be for me :P

You know, my mind went to a god when I saw this too. Krishna allegedly disguises himself as a beggar in Hindu Mythology. Krishna is related by proxy to a Lion-man god named Narashima.
Also, I really like this picture zen. Your technique is fabulous, the furry community is lucky to have you. :D

Still looking for a better way to express myself than having to say "disarmingly cute" ima hafta get back to you on that later .... x3 Gj as always *friendly pat on the back* Can't help it but for some reason i keep imagining steve irwin's ghost standing in the distance, flailing about his arms vigorously while warning me of the dangers of impending loss of limbs o_O;
I would talk like a total bastard, but this is the type of works that I like of your gallery.
Though everyone must be shouting right now that it's "Oh so sexy", I think that I can get a small symbolism that goes beyond from "ZOMG IT'Z DRINKUN WUTTERGH,ITZ OH SO SECSI! D: MUST FAP AND FAV!".
First, the Lion. I must say that I really don't like Lions with a PASSION, since I consider them too higher and to meaningful to stain them. Maybe it's this inner meaning behind it (Kingdom,Kether,Crown, Aslan, and many more).
I like how it looks in this picture, since for the very first time it's not completely natural (Like Balaa's Artwork, which I love) and it's not yiffing like there it wasn't no tomorrow. It's drinking, it's thirsty. He seems grateful, happy to find someone who can help him, relaxed.
The water is maybe something that bugs me. But because I can't stop being symbolic, and think of the Wine. The Lion is related to Heavens, and at church they use wine, doesn't?
Maybe, correct me if I'm wrong, your "water" is more like "wine". In the meaning that it has more life than common water (After all, Wine was the drink of Dionysus, which is related as Bacchus to fertility, and so, to Life).
The hands are giving, but they don't seem fearful or with bad intentions, or hidden meanings behind the offering. I really like them, they see relaxed and generous, like if that water is coming out from it's heart, from it's soul, to help someone he maybe doesn't know.
I don't really like your art (Though I think I watch you). But this is one of that exceptions that I make, since I can see a deeper meaning.

Pretty much everyone has already said how simply captivating this fella is, and I'd have to agree. I like the details, like the scar on his nose, but then the lack of detail on the tongue confuses me, because it's far too smooth for a cat of any kind.
One thing I do know is, if he were looking at me with those eyes, and touching my arm like that, I would have a hard time holding still enough to hold that water. He's gorgeous. And I mean that in the simplest sense -- I mean... I don't want to take my eyes off him, but at the same time, dirty thoughts aren't possible, for me, and that fact right there is really great.

This is so beautiful….
The perspective, the emotion, the power, that paw on the viewer’s wrist... It’s all so wonderful. I could probably give you a verbal tongue bath about this piece for the next hour or so, but you’ve probably heard it all already. : )
Marvelous work. Favorite things are definitely the paw and the scars, especially the one on the bridge of his snout. Will there be a desktop version of this? We’d all love to see one. =^w^=

So, I keep coming back to this picture and staring so I might as well post my thoughts. So, normally I don't care for your work. I will challenge the social norm of Zen worshop and say it. It's not because it's bad work, it's just that in honesty, you represent the over sexualization of this fandom that has always bothered me. I'm just being honest and I don't deem to tell you how to be.
But that brings me to my point. THIS. THIS piece, is the kind of work I long to see in this fandom. Once upon a time it existed. now, it's not so much. This piece tells a story and more than that, it shows a deep and profound moment, charged with subtle yet intense emotion and depicting a connection for which there are no words.
This. Is art.
I don't see that enough in this fandom, so thank you. Honestly, if you did more work of this nature, you would be one of the finest artists online today.
I know that means probably very little, but I hope that some day you conciser balancing out all the yiff fodder with more of this kind of deep, impression driven work.
Good luck, and cheers.

Sorry I misread but you didn't leave me a lot to interpret with. My apologies. As for the sarcasm, Sarcasm is part of communication these days. Most people have a thick enough skin to roll with it. I didn't say anything inherently mean but I didn't understand how you meant that and though your comment might have been sarcasm too, and instead of getting bent out of shape, I rolled with it.
This is why so many small issues get blown out of proportion in this fandom. No one can let a small, and completely explainable misunderstanding between too people go. they have to attack each other. What I said was friendly fire at worst. Your explanation was really enough, but then you tie it up with a personal attack, chastising me for my sarcasm.
Ya see, that's \lame in my book and where as you would have has my jovial apology, you now have a weak one and my contempt.
This is how non-issues turn into bomb shells and in no place to I see it more than the furry fandom. People need to stop taking themselves and everything someone says so seriously.
I can't, nor do I care to, be friends with someone who does that. Can you?
So I was sarcastic. Big deal. I thought you were being so too. Yay for the inability to convey emotion in text. Cheers to over reacting. *facedesk*

I actually didn't mean that as an attack of 'any' sort, personal or otherwise... Was merely stating facts:
Yes, you did use sarcasm, and yes, I thought it was unnecessary.
not an attack...
Anyway, thanks for the elucidation and let us 'not' overreact, as you said. Contrary to common beliefs, Internet is 'NOT' serious business...
...
...or how ever teenagers these days say it...

It's a very moving piece and the lyrics you based this masterpiece off of is inspiring, however I must ask; what Skillet song are those lyrics from? I haven't been able to hunt down whatever song those lyrics are from and it is pestering me. Heh-heh-heh, keep up the great work and all the lovely details, especially with the eyes of the lion and the water.
Out of all of the pictures that you have done, I think this is the one that will make me see you as more than just a porn artist with some skill.
It's the eyes. While indeed, there is a deep sense of sensuality, even sexuality to the image - there is also more - a look of thanks - a look of knowledge and wisdom, of a king or creature of power drinking from hands of someone who, while they might be slaves, are showing more kindness than a hundred rich men.
Thank you, Zen, I now respect you as a true artist.

I find even years later I go back to this piece. It really is one of those rare pieces that manages to really inspire and capture. As was said in a few other comments, it also is sort of your exit from being just a porn artist. Adult work is ok, but it's nice to know that you can clean it up and make something just as powerful. cheers.
On this picture, I found peace between an animal and a human.
I really like it cuz' I want peace between animals and humans. I don't want humans kill animals like today, I don't want the animals suffer.
That look of his eyes told me, deep in my soul, MERCY AND FRIENDSHIP
I... I.... I want a good future like this image. A life with FREEDOM BETWEEN ANIMALS AND HUMANS
