I kinda miss the older days of my Deviantart account when I would randomly draw fanart of obscure western cartoons and then hope that at least one of my watchers would be like “Hey, I remember that!”.

Case in point, the beloved Australian TV show Wicked! from 2001, based off the children's books by Paul Jennings and Morris Gleitzman. Not to be confused with the hit musical.

This show is really obscure because I don't even think it aired in the United States. I know the books never made it here.

So for the last week, I’ve been kinda fascinated with a show that I encountered entirely by accident called “Wicked!”, where this safety inspector ends up getting infected by a virus that feeds off of negative emotions and this virus also mutates him into a spiteful apple-headed creature called The Appleman that constantly torments this family where the two single parents remarried and the two kids Rory and Dawn both hate their new step-sibling.

Basically it’s implied that the main reason he’s bugging this family so much is that they’re so full of hate that they make the virus that’s consumed his body feed and grow, but then the last episode flat out pulls the “I am your father” twist and that the reason he's targeting this particular family is because his love for his son twisted into something sinister.

The show's execution is....not that great. Dare I say it, but the show isn't even good. But it's very much the *fun* type of stupid.
