I imagine there are times she will let some prey stay in there for hours at a time just so she can lull them into a comfortable false sense of security and making sure they are just sleepy enough that they will have little ability to get back up before she swallows. Then again she likely lets some prey cling to her uvula only to slowly slide off, no need to gulp.
