Originally called shining armour before he became magnus shining magnus is base on hot rod/rodimus he is very well aware of his responsibles of being a magnus but hopes one day he can go out and be the turbo revving young punk again but again shining is aware about the responsibles of being a magnus, shining magnus is leader of the Autobot tribe in the snowy parts of the colony planet of equestria called: the crystal city, the crystal city is well known for being made out of crystals and the crystal heart which uses a bubble shield to block the prevent snow from drifting in, magnus would go on to from a relation ship with the once princess of the crystal city before the planet was reformatted and even before Unicron turned it into a dead planet that being a pony-bot called cadence, the two after shining became magnus would fall in love and soon marry cadence and even have a sparkling triple changer they dub flurry heart, like now mayor magnus is known for being the first female magnus shining magnus is also known for being the first magnus to have a battle mode with the smaller robot being his normal form and his battle mode is made up of his trailer which also has a base/defense station mode, mayor magnus and shining magnus would go on to form a friendship as shining magnus like silver-stream was the first magnus to step on earth along with flurry heart after crystal city was invaded by team chaotic member sombra who orginally was a decepticon who attack the crystal city before shining became magnus was tried to take it over in the decepticon favor during the first war but when shining armour became a magnus he quickly overpowered sombra forcing him to retreat and for sombra actions and going against orders he was disbanded from the decepticon ranks and was ejected into space not even being repaired and would go on to be discovered by chaotic nightmare and nightmare wizard (who is Unicron reformatted and reborn as nightmare wizard) and reformatted into his current body, but back on subject to shining magnus on earth he would enjoy a few adventures on earth but had to return to earth but he was able to keep his earth mode and like most of the Autobots was also present during the final battle along with mayor magnus to go against team chaotic nightmare and nightmare wizard one last time
