Art for Roy, I promised him I'd paint him his Akita character. With a spikey leather jacket, green tipped hair, linkin park t-shirt and a savoire faire. This was actually meant to be a simple cell shade picture but uh, I hate empty space and it got out of hand. Still relatively simple though. I've been getting a lot of cell shade commissions lately, I actually find them much more difficult because I have to reduce detail into basic hard edge shapes and my method has always been blending and sculpting. This combines both of those actually, the cellshade characters with a hint of gradation and the background is non cellshaded. Kind of like the way anime does it.
Well my afterimages in my vision are worse than ever. So I would kindly ask you to consider donating to the Visual Snow Initiative. They are basically the only ones funding the study and treatment of a very rare, hardly known and not well taken seriously neurological disorder. I suppose they are my only hope at this point and many other people.

Oh nice, tis all done! Clearly the baddest of spiky bork bois. Wouldn't muss.
Related note to that not so fun visual problem: I had this unsettling nightmare last night. Very rare for me actually. If I even recall my dreams, I hardly remember them being horrific. Anyway, something was pursuing me through this maze of angular concrete corridors in the dark. Not cool at all! The trippy part was that once I snapped out of it and woke up, I sat up in bed and looked off toward the wall. I could see what I could only describe as the afterimage of it's head against the lightly contrasted closet door. It looked all dot matrix-like. It also trailed my eye similar to the way a vitreous floater or the flash of a camera bulb does. I couldn't shake it for about thirty seconds. Never experienced something like that after a dream before, nor have I had issues with visual snow. Now I'm wondering if neurological disorders like visual snow might have connections to our sleep patterns.
