Ratchet: Unknown is a weird game for this series, and a pretty obscure one at that. It's kind of a spinoff like Deadlocked, but for some reason has a lot of, like, tickle stuff? Like when you get caught by guards or lose, there's a ton of weirdly detailed scenes of Ratchet getting tickle tortured, just going on forever until you hit Retry. I mean it seemed pretty innocent and silly to me at first, but it's like, EVERY scene is just more and more kinds of tickling; the Game Over screens, the animations when you get grabbed by an enemy. There's even some areas where you can see other characters in some kinda prison getting tickled. It does make you wonder.

The gameplay is totally different from the other games as well, being a cinematic stealth game. You just slowly sneak around this big, dark facility, hiding from various enemies. You never get ANY weapons or any ability to fight back, which is also very weird for the series. I expected SOME guns, but it's fun in its own way.

I heard this was basically just licensed out by Sony to some random third-party studio, "DTT Software", and they were totally hands off about it, and just published it silently. No ads or anything.
