I could be wrong but I think its a douglas dc3 dakota..If it is then Ive been on one! Years ago...And one of the engines caught fire as we were flying over bristol The colours/markings on this plane looks familiar but it could have been silver instead of white...I have a photo of the plane somewhere ill have to dig out

What a great looking plane. I can almost see an intrepid 1940's adventurer and his two team mates climbing aboard her for an "easy flight" to 'some dark backwater armpit of the world'.

Ok everyone that is a douglas DC-3 started about the mid 1930`3,pan am had a bunch,and DELTA still has on of its planes in operation,P>S. I am a retired DELTA aircraft mechanic,got to see i too.
