This is a story of an old legend that has been carried to our eldest until we were asked to carry it further.
Once, the land of Yrian was vast and green. Life spread all over the ground, living was easy because of what nature offered to us and so we took but never gave back.
Without any regret.
One day, the ground dried and split open. Mountains pushed away the trees and there was no space for the greens anymore but that was so long ago that even this part of the legend is vanishing into the sparse ground; of this land, threatening to disappear forever.
Today, dust and silence remains.
Who will carry on seeking for what we almost forgot?
Who will begin a journey that could change the life of all?

Very good!
The squealching brakes at the beginning start off with a >.o notion and honestly made me do that. I'm wondering if that is when the land has dried up or the realization of the problem which further escalates? It seems to start off in tumoil, then go to serene. What was your thinking behind that?
I really like the progression of the symphony and the elements you put into it. It seems to work very well and the Choir was a nice touch. But at times I'm feeling lost with all the solo instruments carried in the song. Are these chapters in a book? They feel like forbearing signs which lead into what they tell about.
Over all, it sounds like I am reading a book through my ears and I enjoy your new works very much. Thank you. :)
Kudo's to FoxCall too, lovely work you guys are making me want to get back to strings.

Thank ya! The start has some intense electro-screeching effects to show the barren parts. There's actually loads of them on the keyboards, and I programmed some of them. And yeah, it gradually fades, like a lifting fog so it moves to the more "beautiful landscape" feel. The solo instrument, like the violin, does it's part, then plays a counter melody with the main orchestra, kinda like splitting paths and what not. It's an overall "Theme", but I would like to go back and do some of the elements to the story in more detail. :>
AHHHHHhh! Ok! I get what you're saying then. Yeah that is what I was thinking when I listened to it the fourth time is its like we're traveling and starting to see patches of the waste here and there. The start of the story could be the electro squeal when we first notice it, but then it goes away as we keep going. Then it becomes worse and worse. Sort of like a skin injury that is not tended to.
Fifth Time:
Over all the tonal value of the piece has many rifts and valleys. It seems like right off we are dropped from some where onto flat/flowy fragile ground where it gently flows upwards and down wards. The fragility we see is very temperamental until we misstep slide down an icy sheet unable to stop no matter how much we try which delivers us into the badlands. This has its moments as we keep going. There is hot dry landscape as presented by the... Baratone/tymphany mix. It worsens until there is a internal fight for the land 'within us' with trying to get out of it until we have our saving grace and are able to climb back out of our hole we have dug through... roots of trees/plants? That are starting to come back after we learned. But the damage has already been done, yet we are forgiven through grace? And the land is now still fragile but we respect it more.
Am I correct in my thinking?

This is amazingly beautiful and haunting. It has a very epic feel to it as though the story is only beginning to unfold. The violin work is lovely--between that and the soaring melody of the piano...just wow.
I love how it completely switches moods at 2:16--I can get such brilliant pictures in my mind from the 'prologue'-ey bits in the description.
Brilliant work. +fave

I could actually see this as a sound track to a Miyazaki film. You've captured so many beautiful moods into the whole piece and you truly have the makings of an amazing musician/composer.
AlectorFencer is so very lucky indeed to have this to accompany their amazing works as well. You two made "beautiful music together"! xD

I feel stunned! Lost the count of how many times I listened to this piece. It's great!
In the beginning, I thought it was a normal piece like the other ones you've made. But then everything changed when I reached the build and my whole body shivered in excitement!
Congratulations!

Such a dream and such a great luck - when a musician, a writer and an artist are met and may create together - those most amazing thoughts, heavenly dreams and heartbreaking images we could see once - those are done with talents, lucky ones, made a way to "do" together.
You are too much to tell in words.

Everything is written already. Amazing, beautiful, astonishing, out of this world, dreamy, soothing, it's just so much of everything that's mystic and touching. This track deserves a well written story, and a billion dollar fund to make you do more like this ;3. Thanks a lot!
I'm actually quite inspired by this.
It's nice to see such beautiful music and stories like this coming from the fandom.
This is certainly a breath of fresh air, and a song that could be heard again and again and never loose that tranquil, yet eerie, and epic feeling whenever I listen to it.
From one musician (and fox) to another, this song is simply amazing.
Very nice.

I have not commented here, so now I feel the need to:
This is a masterpiece.
This is up there with great compositions by masters, with the best metal, pop, rock, techno and classical music I have, it is something I can't help from treasuring from time to time; it's something that gives me an urge to listen, to replay it, to dive myself in the wonder of its melody. I can't leave it alone too long, my heart would feel lonely.
You have created something beautiful.

imo your best composition yet; you captured the feeling of desolation in the beginning, very heart-wrenching and it goes perfectly with the artwork . :)
on an unrelated tangent, sorry I haven't gotten a chance to draw anything for you yet - I got side tracked by a lot of things but, that's no excuse. so please accept my sincere apologies.
I won't make anything in time for your new album that's coming out, but I do wish to involve myself more in some projects this year rather than just doing commissions, so if there's anything I can do for you, please let me know.

silly me, how could I not fave this x}! Such a haunting track, I think it is one of my favorites from you, if not my most favorite. there is something mysterious, lurking and all at once beckoning written into this track. I simply feel spellbound and compelled to listen to it again and again.
Well, chalk me up as another fan of this piece. Every piece of your music that I've listened to thus far has been great, and that's putting it mildly. You've probably heard this before...but you've got a gift, and I'm glad that you decided to share it with the rest of us.
Out of curiosity, how long does it take for a piece like this to go from initial concept to final version?

I'm curious, did U send
foxcall some sheet music for this for him to play on the violin?

I can't tell you how much I love this song. It has so much emotion and heart in it. I truly feel something alive about it. Also, I have major anxiety issues, and this song has a saving grace for me. There are very few things in this world that affect me like this. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me, albeit unintentionally. May you continue to be inspiring.
I am not sure there are any accurate or worthy words that I could string together to describe how "Myre" and "Yria's Lament" felt like. These two songs are on a whole other level of near inhuman beauty. Every second glides so smoothly through to the next. It's like being at home and then suddenly, without even noticing, you've been sifted to an entirely different plane of existence! I'm laying it on a bit thick for a reason. You deserve it! Keep the reality-bending dream flowing!
OMG. I love this. I'm hooked. I want to see an animated series just because of this song and how beautiful your landscapes have turned out to be. I'd like to see alternative animation techniques for something like this.
Super-stylized watercolor brushstroke stuffs.......... So nifty! *Foxy runs in circles excited by the idea of your beautiful arts turned into motion!*

This is made my day, so crisp so sweet and balanced like from a far sweet land. Oh, the sweet memories of that place...your eyes widen and stare straight but you see everything like a past time and the feeling of being overjoyed at the same time and tears to roll down your eyes once again reliving that moment in time.
Beautiful. I'm getting strong 2 Steps from Hell feeling from this, Or LOTR as well. Well done. Very well done. It'd be interesting to see what you compose from my friends, and I's "Dream" series now. But alas, I'm just a poor hillbilly doe. :) Still keep going, you got me also on youtube
