Rolland's original design came from this NES-palette pixel art. Actually, Aurelina's sorceress
design was also one I made from the ground up, and it's quite satisfying to have people respond
positively to it. Commissioners, let it be known: learning to design and depict your own characters
is awesome. This is just a typical example of how the Dark Sorceress and her minion interact: lots
of mishaps and misadventures, because the best retro anime, roleplaying games, and Saturday
morning cartoons had the ability to pivot tonally while staying true to their characters and story.
This is from about 2021. I've been doing pixel art since 2018 or so, off and on, mostly for small
