I spent two days on the piece with breaks! I'm not sure exactly how long the background took, but I'd say most of it was roughed out and planned in a couple of hours, and the rendering took most of the time. Probably closer to the 8 hour mark! I used Procreate for almost the entire process, and I have the timelapse captured, but it doesn't capture total time spent painting afaik. (I'd be curious to know, too! lol)

I know you have been drawing for many years. The only goal you have is improving your artwork and it will never stop. You're doing great job. Keep going! :D

LOVE the perspective on this!! It can be really difficult to make a background like this without some part of it feeling 'wrong' or 'incorrect,' but you really nailed it! I also love how to incorporated the palette of the character into the background or vice versa -- amazing job! ♥
