Well, apparently, kryptonite itself is cerebro's kryptonite. One day while visiting the dog stars, since he's their biggest fan, cerebro went aboard their ship as they were transporting red kryptonite to be dumped on a remote planet. Since none of the dog stars, other than Krypto, get affected by it and Krypto was gone on a mission at the time, they thought it was completely safe to transport the red kryptonite with cerebro around. Unfortunately, a piece dropped right next to cerebro, causing him to shrink down to nano size without any of the dog stars noticing. Eventually, Tusky Husky saw the piece that fell and said, "sacre bleu, a piece of red kryptonite fell to the ground, better pick it up." He came closer and cerebro could hear his footsteps getting closer and closer. But for some reason, Tusky walked just past the red kryptonite as he was wondering where cerebro had gone. First, he thought he should grab the piece of kryptonite from the ground, so he slammed his hind paw to retrieve it, unfortunately unaware of cerebro's presence underneath his paw. That is until cerebro started to wiggle around on his paw. Then Tusky thought, "did I step on a bug? I can feel something squirming on my paw." He lifted his paw up, only to find cerebro wedged into it. Tusky was deeply apologetic and felt very bad for squishing cerebro. That's when the dog stars found out that apparently cerebro can be affected by red kryptonite, and that they'd have to keep a close eye on him. Unfortunately, the effects of red kryptonite last a whole 24 hours, so cerebro will be tiny for the next 24 hours. I really hope that the dog stars don't forget about his presence.
