Strahd was a warrior and prince who fell madly in love with his younger brothers fianceé, thinking she rejected him for his old age, he made a pact with dark gods for eternal youth and sealed it by slaying his brother on their wedding day, the woman threw herself from the castle and was never found, Strahd was killed by his own guards but rose as a vampire lord as his entire domain was swallowed up by the mists and became the dark and cursed realm of barovia, here in Strahd rules both king and prisoner and every generation the woman he loved reincarnates and he always tries to obtain her but he can never have her.
