Poor Ophelia... To be fair, there lot of very cool and powerful wizard spells which get really situational... Summoning an huricane is sensational, in the open field... In a cramped dungeon, even with friendly fire off, you just can't see a thing!

Sounds a lot like a little bit of confusion I had in another RPG; We had a Cyber-knight who had gotten into the enemy armored transport by an opening in the roof of it; Our team spell caster had cast invisibility on the Cyber-knight to assist her in getting inside and then messing with the pilot.
During that time, the rest of us were shooting at the speeding armored long-van trying to slow it down or shoot out it's tires; Someone blasted out the armored front windshield and I took the opportunity to have my mercenary heavy weapons girl lob a nice fat grenade into the drivers lap...

of course NO ONE TOLD me that the " invisible Cyber-Knight" was in the drivers control area TOO...
so afterwards, she was all grumpy and complaining about me "blowing HER up along with the Driver..."

After that, his character was always a "little skittish" around Mine when my girl started pulling out heavy explosives or such equipment... < soft grin >

Ophelia has prepped too many AOE spells today.
