I agree, should have a few leeches on the neck and arms at least! I'm not dirtying original kit though.
It is all original, used kit; the blanco is not that good, the photo makes it look better, the webbing is as it came and about 5 different washed out shades.
It's all Indian made too, right for the far east, hand made in little tailors shops, carpet manufacturers etc. The trousers are heavily faded and have been repaired in several places. The shirt is wool and they were preferred as they didn't rot nearly as easily as cotton.
I think overall the photo makes this look a lot smarter than it actually is, boots aren't polished, just raw pebble grain leather!

fair enough. It's amazing what you fine looking at the back of P-37 gear. In the US most of it is C + Broadarrow, due to our Norther Neighbor, but you find a fair amount of UK made stuff. And the quality is a little variable, but the brass fittings are always spot on. For a while in the 90's we were finding brand new unissues P-37 Web in khaki, and no supply of Blanco, so our stuff tended to look complete but... Odd.
Ahhh, well there are now people making blanco, shoe cream can also make a good substitute if mixed to the right colours. I envy you finding unblancoed webbing though, very rare here now. '37 Pattern in any state is reaching silly prices...
I personally find the Indian made clothing and kit fascinating and interesting to collect, rough sand cast brass and coconut husk buttons. Very interesting.

Yeah, minty P-37, sealed away in plastic boxes, carefully folded and only come out now for exhibits. I would be interested in obtaining the proper 'pea grean" blanco for continental, for my used sets to freshen them up.

Soldier of Fortune in the UK make a No. 97 liquid blanco which is pretty good, paints on easily but it's not really the right stuff. Our group has had some proper cakes made up in China working from original blancoed items to get the colour. I'm not sure if there's any left for sale, I shall ask if you're interested, could post some over to you.

Yes, exactly like that! Though when we did it, we had to have one set off tan P-37 for Desert. (51st Cameron Highlangers)_, and one for continental (Green Howards). Something YOU Might want to take a look at:

I currently have 3 sets, one in No. 97 (light green), one in KG3 for late war and the Indian set you see here, currently working on a set for desert use and a blackened set for post-war Royal Marines and Royal Tank Regiment. All good fun! And then there's RAF and Royal Navy webbing which differs somewhat but I won't go into that unless pressed O.o
I am indeed friends with that chap on Facebook, gave him some tips on his RN uniform.

WHAT?! BRITISH TROOPS WITH OUR M1s? HOW DARE HE! he shall take back his piece oh junk stamped Sten and Webley!
It's an M1928, I agree, you can keep your horrible M1s, ability to take drum mags ftw.
If you refer to Webley as junk you have little knowledge of firearms.

just a joke, I quite enjoy my Webley. Only problem I'm having right now is finding ammo...
