Well Ouendan came first.
Elite Beat Agents is Ouendan but with the Japanese culture taken out so every situation is american and the j-pop are all removed in favor of old 60s-90s hits. Even some from 2000s.
I do recommend you check out Ouendan, it's pretty good as well as the second game.
