I get a number of questions on a semi-frequent basis, so I'm just going to try and address as many that come to me here.
Can I ask you a question?
Yes! Now stop asking me that question!
Can I use your ideas and/or characters?
Yes, by all means! If I somehow inspire you to create, create away and do whatever you wish. I do not wish to obstruct or otherwise get in the way of the creative process. The things I create will likely outlive me anyways, and I take a level of comfort in that.
Do you take commissions?
Yes, but only through my journals when I open them.
How and when do I pay you for commissions?
I send out notes to people when I've finished up a picture, it contains all the relevant information. I don't ask for any money upfront unless it's a large amount of money, and in such cases it's usually half the total amount as a deposit.
Do you take requests?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: There are the odd exception here and there, but it's only when the request is something that I find myself enamored with, and I feel that I have to do a take on that idea.
Is my idea something that will get your interest then?
Probably not, sorry.
Do you do art trades?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: My success rate with art trades in the past has been around maybe 33%. Which is to say for every three pictures I've done I've gotten one back, and I feel this is a generous number. I haven't tried doing art trades during my time here on FA, nor do I have any intention of starting now. Past experience simply has soured me to the concept on a whole.
But what about the stuff between you and thelonelydragon?
A fair number of those pictures were commissions to start with, and he did quite a number of gift arts that I found amusing and I had the inclination to do the occasional 'revenge' picture. It also helped a great deal that his character is very easy to draw.
Do you do collaborations?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: I do them sometimes with people I know or friends. Mostly because they know me well enough to offer up an idea I might be interested in participating in. Even then it's hard to do collaborations because sooner or later you're going to be waiting on someone, or someone is going to waiting on you.
Can I be your friend?
You're going to be rather resourceful and persistent to end up being my friend. I'm a rather distant person on a whole, and arguably high maintenance as I rarely engage other people of my own volition. This is mostly because I'm an island on to myself and it's really just other people who drop by to visit now and then. That and I'm horrible at small talk, which means you need to engage me on some kind of intellectual level.
Can you do an RP with me?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Nooooooooo. I only really RP with people I know, and even then very rarely. I don't feel comfortable doing it with people I don't know, or barely know. RPing is an artform, and that means having a good grasp of the English language and communication skills. Those with poor writing skills also make poor RPers. Though that's only part of the problem; the other part of the problem is that for any RP to function properly you need to know the likes, dislikes, and limits of the person you're engaged with. This requires the establishment of a relationship, friendship and the like. It's all a lot of work for it to be something that functions properly; otherwise it ultimately ends up being awkward for at least one person, if not both.
I hope I haven't gotten on your nerves
This isn't really a question, but a sentiment I get now and then. It's not particularly easy to grate on my nerves. The only thing that really drives me up the wall is willful ignorance and stupidity, doesn't matter the subject or topic. I honestly do not care in the slightest about being 'right' in any matter, I just care about expanding my breadth of knowledge. That is simply a consequence of learning: You will be wrong more often than you are right. The world, let alone the universe is fucking vast and huge, by default everyone is going to be more wrong than they are right. Unfortunately a lot of people do care that they are right, and at all costs. They will do anything in their power to be right. They'll twist facts, invent truths, accept straight out lies just so they'll remain in the right. These people are usually the easiest to offend, the quickest to run off at the mouth, and never ever listen to anyone who disagrees with them. Such people are impossible to talk to or interact with, and I have limited interest in engaging with such individuals for any length of time. Sure these people can be perfectly nice, up until the point you disagree with them; then you'll incur their full wrath.
So if you're not one of those people, odds are you'll never get on my nerves.

I just have to come up with the resourceful part.

good to know answers to some questions you are probably fed up with answering endium
hope your arm is at full strength again as well

I take it you've run into quite a few "know-it-all's" in your life? You expressed quite a bit on that one. Ive learned that its best just to ignore these people. People who are like that are basically telling you that they are very very insecure. What they dont seem to understand is that being wrong and learning new things will make you a better and smarter person. Whats the point of life if you know everything lol? The only thing you can ever hope for with these people is that its only a phase and that they eventually grow out of it. Or else Im pretty sure life will be v-e-r-y difficult for these people.
I think the pic would make a good 'facepalm meme' pic/icon! Probably not your intention though
Love the pic, and explanations are good. Even though they are a pain to type out, I know. *pats* :I
Hope you're doing well and have a great year.

You mention that you're a rather distant person who rarely engages other people on your own accord. Since you know this about yourself, does this also mean that you'd like to change? You seemed to have that inclination or else you would have given a stern "No" with no further explanation.
No, Im not trying to be a dick. I just have a weird way of caring about peoples well-being.

I highly respect your thoughts on Rping and how irritating ignorance can sometimes get. I rather be wrong and learn than convince myself that I am right. I really like to rp but it's so hard to find people that understand that (oh fuk me bby, i liek everything) does not fit everyone one... Soon after you try something with them and learn that they don't like it. Thus the discussion get's quite awkward and sad. Yet they told you *everything*. Ahh... Life.
Well, in that case, I think I'll go ahead and write a story involving D-rings... cause I love those little things. :3
I think I'd still feel better if you directly gave me permission to do so, though. Just for my own peace of mind.

Now i imagine this big FAQ thing as a big sign at the Enduringtech entrance
if they keep annoying you, shoot them with a latex cannon and keep them locked up in a pod for a few months
He could, but most furs would probably take that as both "yay, just what I wanted!" and "I must be a special friend of his, he's started to RP with me!" Which would probably be even more annoying.
The worst torture for an attention-whore RP'er: being ignored. :P
ROFL, this... this so much! So annoying, but that's exactly how it works.
heh well all these a very good to know i shall try harder! or least help give yo some more ideas XD
Oh god, Endium was sometimes suprised or even shock with these kind of questions.
I will just say I love the pic... though the rest of it made perfect sense too. If I ever get myself an avatar there may be a commission on the horizon, when they're next open that is. Happy new year, Endium!
interesting FAQ endium. i knew most of them already but it good to know i was right about them and it nice to know that now i have facts to back it up. of course there was one or two i didnt know about and it seems i have learned even more from you today. as i say to myself "always keep learning because you will never know what will be usefully later. even if it seems stupid. still better to learn it then not." of course that the long version of it. thank you for shareing this info with us and telling us more about what you like and dislike as well.
Heh. Same here on the "Can I be your friend?" and RP points. Espectially IRL. It's so hard getting to know new people IRL when I feel more comfortable sitting in my room all day long.
This facepalm is adorable, and only makes me want to annoy you!
*beeps your nose* :3
*beeps your nose* :3
That last part about twisting truth and all that..... Wow, I'm going to use that quote one day. Hahaha. Spot on! Happy new year man. Have a productive one.
You may not realize it, but you totally just challenged all your watchers to befriend you: "Sorry, only especially resourceful people get to break through my cool hard exterior to the magic of friendship within."
In one fell swoop you made your friendship appear rare (and therefore valuable, humans instinctively prize rare things), and made acquiring it a status symbol - if people manage to befriend you, that means they're especially resourceful.
Expect a deluge of somewhat awkward befriending attempts!

It's also quite hard to get your attention during streams. Perhaps that is something worth mentioning. Either way, it would be nice to get to know you a bit more, alas barriers constantly get in the way both on my and your behalf. Perhaps it is a good thing though because if you opened up maybe you'd get too much attention and burn yourself out really quickly.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Nooooooooo.
Sounds about right for most people, lol. Least you're honest and realistic.

lol love the picture perfect pose for this information. and yeah I've run across those people before though normally more to do with guitar them my art streams. also you'll probably get some random gift art from me once I get use to drawing others characters well.
To the ones who read about being his friend, I can vouch for this. It also helps if you're persistant about engaging him and have a thick skin, since he's a thick-headed, puffy lizard. But once you get past it, you find he's quite cute.
Oh hai Endy. Didn't see you there.

I find this to be a reasonable FAQ response page. There's obviously specific answers as to why you aren't willing to do things, but what makes me laugh is how that can tend to infuriate people. Believe me, I've seen it plenty of times-- in person even.
But regardless, I do like your general assertiveness on the matter. And I like the fact that you've lied down a line that should be respected and acknowledged. Sometimes not having one that others should follow can really be the clinging drag for most artists.
Anyway, I'm glad that you've said that your ideology is open for use. I've always wanted to write a story using a slave ball and a few other things you've devised. XD

I don't talk quite as often as I should with you, Endium, but I love your ideas, and I always love seeing what you draw. :D I agree with you on the friends thing, I rarely talk with someone unless I actually have something worthwhile and interesting to talk to them about, which varies from person to person. Maybe someday we can collaborate on coming up with some trap ideas. ;D
That actually answers a question I had. I was wondering if you'd mind me using the slave ball idea since I came up with a way to slightly improve/kink it up. If you're at all interested in the details, I could send you a note on the subject.
Two thumbs up for a nice, well detailed FAQ, and the picture. X3
I would just like to say, the times that we've talked have been enjoyable. ^^
I like the picture, it's cute! And I rarely have that problem with RPing, I guess I'm just lucky.
"Can you do an RP with me?

I like your diatribes even more than your art, sometimes.

This is in regards to you "Can I use..." comment, and might be a good thing to include in your comments: Do you have a ref sheet/pic?
Whats the, erm, "special" type of bondage and such you do called? If it has a special name. And....where can i get more of it? O /// O
*applauds to the best of hir ability*
The mind is a terrible thing to waste and when you are surrounded by a high lack of intelligence. It can usually drive some batty. I think you handle it quiet well considering. Me, I get frustrated sometimes and others I become amused. Especially when it comes to talking to people about history. I am not talking like facts as small as the Graff Spree, I'm talking things like the Manhattan project and i only get a what 90% of the time. God help this generation.
Woops Kinda ranted there. Well, keep up the good work Endium.

I'm not much for the friend department either. It takes a lot for me to be someone's friend a for the intelligent conversation part I'm rather interested in your technology and how it works the mechanics behind it and all that. I'm kind of lost on what else to talk about. The living latex is a piece of technology that quite interests me and magiscience (a term i nicked off of AQ) is even more interesting. When I am better at drawing i will have to post some of my own tech ideas.
P.S. I suck at small talk too.

One way I've heard the first point phrased before is "Just ask. Don't ask to ask." Some critters don't like having to think about that, though. :/
have you ever been in a real bondage? it is so damn relaxing
regarding the rant/explanation on "know-it-all" types, you forgot about the fact that some may have a "better to have and not need, than need and not have" philosophy. sorry for playing devil's advocate here, but some learn about everything so they don't have to fail using that phrase. i might even be included in those who live by it, but i don't take it as a rule. in fact, i question rules with no basis in logical fact. example: banning for speaking out about subjects. rakuen had that happen. i question if this site truly understands freedom of speech because of banning in that manner.
oops, i ranted. sorry. i 'd

This has helped a lot. That will make ne think twice what i ask here ^^
Once i read that our brain grows with every kind of knowledge we add on it.
Imagine someone with full knowledge...... Ugh, i dont like head, to big for me XD

A distant person...high maintenance...horrible at small talk...are you really describing yourself, there? Because that sounds like me in a nutshell! XP..lthen again, judging by the comments, I'm not alone in that matter...I suddenly feel less unique in that manner, so, um...okay! Moving on! ^^;
Seriously, I myself am the exact same way. I'm one of those people that likes to take their time with describing things and explaining what they want to say. Furthermore, I have a tendency to rant, but I also have a tendency to be silent for too long (just ask anyone who knows me).

You've obviously set yourself to be a villain.
A villain that I am hoping to take down one day... (Not seriously mind you.)

Well i am still going to demand a request, the request: keep drawing art and the good work, or else....
oh.. you dont do arttrades .n. sad.
if you would.. we can do the deal: i make my part first.
you can note me if you do it .u.

Eh, I think I'm one of those people who care if their right. In fact, I know it. I've argued with teachers and YouTube commenters (god, I'm low) just because they said something that I disagreed with. Honestly, that's because I don't really have any control over my emotions, mainly, because my mom had no control over her emotions. You can see where this is going.
Anyway, I am getting help, I'm seeing a therapist and trying to talk about it more, and just trying to heal.
It's gonna take a long time, but I'll heal. Maybe.

Neat! I really need to make a questions an answers thing making me look more popular than I am and people look more social than they are too!
So does Enduring industries have a form i can fill out for a job or do i have to know someone there?

Well said man! Well said 👏👏👏
I'm definitely putting this on my favorite quotes wall ^^

Hey just dropping by to say you're one of my favorite artists, and I consider you a pioneer in the latex-transformation medium.
I hope you are doing well.
