Dear Deviants!
So! This is both a test, and a major announcement! I have hit the halfway point In my game! Mechanics wise at least. You might get a few small lore journals that pop out of nowhere to help back up the first game. But think.. Cod zombies meet Project Zomboid. That's the kind of game I wanna go for. A survival, waved base crafting game. Where your goal is to simply survive as long as possible. At least that's the final goal. The first game will Have very little extra to offer other than simple survival. Making sure that you can stay alive as long as possible in a "Walking Corps' ' infested town.
Lore Info:
The game in simple Lore is that you happen to end up in the middle of a town/kingdom that is currently being overrun by shadow encrypted beings that have lost all their will to the insanity of their demons. Now they only seek to wreak havoc and death across the lands. Fortunately for you, you thought the town meeting was a waste of time and stayed behind, unfortunately for you. You now are fighting for your life with whatever you have left stored around your house and whatever you might be able to scavenge off of the dead. Good luck, survivor! It might be the only thing that keeps you from becoming one of them.
Main Info:
Right now. The things you see in this video, if it's working, is basically the finalized shape of the building you will be surviving in. The circles are indicators where zombies can spawn, Navy blue walls are the play boundary. Neon blue walls are doors. And the gaps will be windows. There is also a Giant T, but that's just to show that there is a text layer. The player controls will be more or less the same in the final game but will look a lot different, as almost no spirits have been created for this game yet and it's mostly just shapes and code.
This is the first of 3 games that I have already thought about making. This one kinda stands as Game 0 though. While it will serve as a great game 1 and a foundation for the other 3, It simply doest offer enough to be anything close enough to what I want it to be. Now to be completely fair this is the first FULL game I've made in about a year and the first one I'm going public with. So bare with me. The first "demo" will most likely have a bug or 2 in it. But I will make sure its the best it can be before releasing it onto steam for like, Idk a 1$ or something haha.
