Gears of Time keep on a'turning..
Having a sad feel as an Australian atm (regarding the recent election result)
Don't wanna clog up the general feed with more of the same, but just thinking of you also out there feeling gutted over it all too
I used to get surprised, and angry in the past.. now it's just sadness
Love you all.
Stay safe n take a moment away from the topic if you need it to feel better, mkay?
🍉🍉🍉 And Other recent junkette~ 🍉🍉🍉
🍉See you all @ FurDU soon homies
1. Will fursuiting be still legal?
2. Will the Internet be still available and unrestricted?
3. Will you still be able go outside and have fun?
If you said yes to all three then you have nothing to worry about.
-As far as I know it will be
-.....honestly... who knows \|C this may be getting closer to being on the chopping block
-Most certainly
But in addition;
-The pinch of living/working/existing is likely going to squeeze on those in the lower bracket whom already have a struggle of that
-the Nation has seen it fit to put back in power a leadership body whom consist of FAR too many (for comfort) climate-change deniers . . . . . <_> I can not even believe I am ever typing this tbh.
-And whom honestly, for being the 'generally better at economics' side... they just fcking AREn't (and so many policies/clauses/loopholes/etc remain that only appear to be this selfish personal pocket-lining)
Just blowing my mind how.. how we keep on indulging those whom show time and time again they can be so very short-sighted, narrow minded, bigoted and honestly fairly incompetent too
Ah well.. shall see what the months ahead bring I guess
1: If fursuiting isn't banned, then it's only because ultra right wing politicians and lobbyists haven't bothered to focus on the weirdo 'furry menace' yet.
2: No.
3: Sure, if you like frolicking in a dustbowl between floods.
Insto block!
whytho?
ahwell, here's hoping the senate pans out to be something of a sane counter to some of their bullcrap.
plus we got rid of abbott and anning, not a total loss.
I think Jonathan Pie summed it up pretty well in that the left has become lazy when it comes to debating the topics with the undecided voters and we tend to be seen as ranting and self-righteous. Hopefully lessons will be learnt and next election we can do better at engaging the voters who are looking for an actual change.
-Hope people are making an informed vote? (rather than just throwing it away and losing a lot of sway as to the direction they would like the country to head in)
-Worse, they are miss'voting (potentially harmfully) with not what they might really want/going with what might seem familiar or just 'sound good'
-Or the very worst... people voting are educating themselves and legitimately putting the Liberal Government in power again
frightening stuff
coupled with how the media stacks up thanks in part to the murdochs, Labor had a heck of a tough time of it. Sadly Shorten made a lot of sense but wasn't the type to ooze charisma. We kinda need the proverbial second coming of Bob Hawke to really cut through the bullcrap the other sides of the divide tend to spout.
