200 Watcher Raffle
Posted a year agoHello everyone! I hope the holiday season is treating you well.
I hit 200 watchers today. It's been a wild ride and I'm glad to see so many people interested in the commissions that I get. I hope that you're all also giving the artists their fair share of the views and faves.
I was on the fence about doing another raffle at 200 watchers. I don't want it to become something that people expect and if watchers tend to scale up more quickly, in theory I could hit new 100 thresholds more frequently and that's more times per year that this happens and it starts becoming a larger financial commitment and blah blah blah.
But since Christmas is right around the corner and I had a really fun idea just hit me randomly, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to pull the trigger on this.
This is going to be very different than the 100 watcher raffle (for those of you who were present, during that). Instead of multiple, separate commissions, this is going to be one large one. I don't want to give away too many details publicly (if you're selected, I will tell you what the picture is, just to ensure that you're on board with it and you want to be in it and so on, so forth). For those selected, I'm also always open to any suggestions or ideas that you have, to make it a more interesting, enjoyable, dynamic, whatever piece.
The only details I'll give here, since I think they're pertinent, are:
- It is fully SFW
- It's meant to have a humorous atmosphere
- It is anthro
- I am paying for it, in full - no cost to the winners
- You must be a watcher, to be selected
- If you have any trepidations, feel free to ask questions and I'll try to give non-spoiler answers. If questions are asked a lot, I will update this to include them in the list above
This is not first come first served. Comment below and I will give you a number to be selected by a random number generator.
I already offered a guaranteed spot to my 200th watcher:
zaqwavi
I haven't chosen an artist yet, but I have a few in mind.
Given that one slot is taken, I will accept 4, in this round. I might select more, if I find an artist that does a good group discount deal, but I'll say 4 for now, just to be on the conservative side.
This will be open until 7 pm - PST on 12/29. 48 hours is too close to Christmas Eve and Christmas and I have too busy of a weekend to get back to this. This also gives me time to hone in on an artist, so I know how many people I'm selecting (just like last time, I wanted to get this message out there early, while we're still as close to the 200 number as possible).
Good luck to all who choose to participate! Thank you for tolerating my long-windedness.

So many artists, so little time
Posted a year agoHey there furs,
Almost at 200 watchers now! It was only a year ago that I hit 100. Parabolic growth sure is weird, isn't it? Though, I feel like a growth cap will have to come, at some point... or maybe not. It's a constantly growing fanbase. At least for now.
As a commissioner... it's always such a struggle to hone in on artist. There are so many artists I've worked with before that I adore and am always happy to get commissions from. There are so many bucket list artists that I'd like to commission at some point. There are also plenty whom I would love to work with, but have not reached out yet. For those of you who don't know, I keep a very strict (with occasional splurges - once or twice a year) monthly budget with FA commissions. It's a part of my budget, to keep a regular stream incoming, but set at a comfortable number so that I ensure I don't go overboard (except for those occasional splurges, which are allowable under the budget, but that's not why anybody is here).
On top of that tight budget, I have such a plethora of art pieces to get and people who want joint commissions that I've been keeping waiting.
This is kind of a notice/reminder that, I understand that it may seem like I make a lot of empty promises. "Oh I'll commission you again" or "we'll get a piece together" and then radio silence. I haven't forgotten about you. I haven't forgotten about any of you. I have lists. Like I said, there's a lot to get through and I have personal pieces that I want to get done as well (including this no spoilers now 4 part series that is not even in the works, yet. Every month is a balancing act. Including - when do I go all in on a more expensive artist and when do I try to go for lower priced artists to maximize the number of pictures I can get that month and which joint commissioner is going to be okay with/prefer which of those options. On top of that, there's impromptu YCH's that I also have to take into consideration. So it's... it's all coming.
If you've been waiting, I promise you, you are on my mind. Despite the lists, I do actively think about these a lot. Please be patient with me... there's just a lot on my end and my budget creates a small funnel for everything to filter through.
That being said, I might be generous with a couple of gift commissions again, this Christmas. However, due to what's happening with my employer, there is a real possibility we might not get Christmas bonuses this year. If that happens, I unfortunately will not be able to be generous. We'll just have to see what happens.
Thank you for reading.

Might get a tad busy...
Posted 2 years agoHey Everyone, hope your evening/day/night (whatever time it is for you, wherever you are and whenever you happen to be reading this) is going well.
As the title suggests, I might be getting busy! Who could've guessed?
As some of you know, I am working on immigrating to Canada. It's a process that has been in the works for about a year and a half now. I'm nearing the end of this process. Assuming I get approved (keeping my fingers crossed) there is going to be a lot that I'm suddenly going to have to do, very quickly. Either sell or prepare my home to be rented out, both of which are an entire process in and of themselves. Simultaneously, I have to buy a new home in Canada and be in touch with two different real estate agents in two countries with different laws and regulations. Somehow, those both have to be coordinated to happen in roughly the same time frame. Then there's the moving process itself, starting a new job, various things I have to do/forms to fill that are related to immigration, people I have to meet and speak to, it's going to be a lot.
I have no idea when I'm going to get a yay or nay either. A day will happen and all of a sudden I will have to do everything. It will be sudden and it will probably be overwhelming. Basically, if we're roleplaying with each other or getting art or planning art or whatever the case may be - I may just be a little difficult to get a hold of, for a little while. I apologize in advance, if there's any inconvenience (especially if someone is waiting on me to approve art or something) but I'll do the best I can to mention if I'll be away, for a little while.
I'm excited though. 2020 was supposed to be a really big year for me. I got a project management degree at the end of 2019 and was ready to get a new PM job in 2020. Was going to start on a job that I actually want, start dating, start volunteering more, start expanding a friend group in WA (where I had still only recently relocated to), and Covid just... plopped all over everything. The only goal I did achieve that year was getting a cat. By the time things started returning to normal again, Canada was becoming less of a thought and more of a reality that I wanted to actually work towards. So I still kept those things I wanted to do in 2020 at bay. It doesn't make sense to start on a lot of this, if I'm just going to be leaving the area in a little bit. But if I knew the process was going to take as long as it did, I would have at least started on the new job. Oh well. Because of this rut that I've been in, for so long, when I get that approval I'm just going for it. Nothing's holding me back from jumping right in. Even if they do deny me, I've got goals that I want to work on. So I might just naturally be a little more busy, until I settle into my new reality, whatever that happens to be.
I feel like that last paragraph was kind of a downer, so here's something fun that's been occupying my mind, lately.
Infinity is weird. It just is. It's weird mathematically, it's weird cosmologically, it's weird theoretically, it's just weird. There's a very famous example illustrating this that starts with the fact that there is an infinite amount of numbers. If you take that infinite set of numbers and pull out only the even numbers, despite the fact that there are only half as many even numbers as there are whole numbers, there is still an infinite amount of even numbers, so the group you're working with doesn't actually get any smaller... it's still infinite.
What I've been thinking about is space. Space is either infinite or it's finite. Both of those are weird, but for entirely different reasons. By space, I mean whatever the largest metric for measuring space is: the universe, the multiverse, something larger than the multiverse, something larger than that, whatever the biggest macro scale of space is, that's what I'm referring to as all of space. It's either infinite or not. But, because there are only so many ways that matter can be arranged (maybe this isn't strictly true, but it seems like it would be) if space is infinite, then every single arrangement of matter repeats infinitely, across space. There are infinite instances of myself, sitting in a chair and typing this journal out, just as there are infinite instances of you sitting wherever you're sitting, reading this, at this exact moment in time. But here's what's weird... because space is infinite, when you look at these matter arrangements and say "Oh yeah, this is repeating exactly as it is, infinitely." you can keep scaling that up to larger versions. There are infinite versions of Earth, exactly as it exists and infinite versions of our entire solar system, with all celestial bodies equally distanced from one another. Every instance of the solar system is some greater distance apart from one another... every identically occuring galaxy is some distance apart from one another. But when you scale up, those distances become part of the model in which you're using to judge these infinitely occuring matter clusters; and thus, you now have a new arrangement with which to call infinitely repeating. Eventually, you have either entire universes or entire expanding regions of space from inconceivably distance big bang points across whatever you want to call the absence of space. An infinite number of these (but not all of them) will be identical to our own, in its entirety, but so too will there be infinite occurrences of these in the distances apart from one another, that makes up a more macro arrangement. Once again, these macro arrangements just keep infinitely scaling up to even larger macro arrangements.
Infinity is... weird. That all assumes, of course, that space is infinite. Maybe it's not. But that also means there's an infinite anti-space field that... surrounds space, maybe? But is that infinite? Can it be infinite if it doesn't exist to hold matter within it? What does any of that even really mean?
This journal got way off course. Haha. I'm kinda hoping the last major paragraph sparks an interesting conversation, though. Or it at least gets people thinking. I like making people think...
Enjoy your evening, Everybody.

Going to Further Confusion!
Posted 2 years agoYo Fluffs,
I've extended my holiday stay in California to be able to attend Further Confusion, in a few weeks. I finally got everything finalized, so it's official! Going to be there with my friend
TheGoldenFluff
I'll be arriving there Friday evening (I'm actually going on a trip to TN and AL that week, so I land at SFO Friday afternoon). If anyone's going to be there and wants to say "hi" or chill, let me know. I'm quiet and awkward, so I can't guarantee I'll be super fun to hang out with, but I somehow always do better than I expect.
I'm going to try to go to a few cons, this year. This one is mostly out of convenience, since I'm in the area anyways, but I do want to go to a few of the bigger ones. Anthrocon, especially, would be cool to see. Maybe MFF, but the proximity to Thanksgiving is a little concerning, with that one. I think the one in Texas is also pretty big. TFF, I think? I need to start looking up all of these con names. But I have a lot of people I can stay with, in TX, who would also attend this. So that should also be an easy one for me to make it to.
Long story short - want to meet up? Let's do it.
Any cons you're going to or ones that you would recommend that I check out? Let me know.
Keep it limited to NA cons, though. As much as I love traveling and visiting places overseas, I don't want to travel that distance, just for a con. But maybe if I had the opportunity to explore for the week, afterwards...

100 Watchers - Gift Raffle (Closed!)
Posted 2 years agoGood morning/afternoon/evening Fellow Furs,
A couple of days ago, I hit the 100 watcher milestone (and since surpassed it). Since I'm not an artist, this just means that you guys are all jiving with my characters and enjoy seeing them. I think that's a cool thing and I really appreciate everyone's interest. I would like to offer a prize, to my watchers.
I was thinking of choosing five people and getting a commissioned piece with each of you (or all of you, at once, we'll see how the situation evolves). This would be entirely on me, I'm paying for all of it. I'm planning on using a small portion of my Christmas bonus, so this won't actually be getting started, until December (so about a month out). I wanted to open up the raffle right now, while I'm still close to 100 watchers. That way we can keep the winners limited to mostly the original 100.
I'm willing to do individual commissions, a group commission, or buy out a YCH, or any combination of those. SFW & NSFW allowed. Feral & anthro allowed. Just respect my characters and kink limits, if we're going with NSFW. Since these are meant to be gifts, I'm willing to go along with your vision; however, if you try to push those rules/limits, then I reserve the right to reject your idea.
As stated, I'm still trying to get some of the details figured out. In the meantime, if this is of interest to you, then please comment below and I can give you a number. I'll use a random number generator to pull 5 numbers and those will be the winners (you have to be a watcher, though. I will check.)
I will keep this open for about... 48 hours. I'll select winners after work, on Tuesday (~4pm, Pacific Time). I have no idea what kind of response I'm going to get on this, so if I don't get enough comments, then I'll keep it open longer.
Let me know, if anyone has any questions about this.
Also, if you happen to be an artist reading this, and you would like some guaranteed work this December, then let me know and we can work something out.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
