Shit, what month is it again?
Posted 7 months agoHey all! It's been a hot minute!
No, I'm not dead. In fact, I just spent yesterday renewing my subscription to life for another six months! Woo! MS sucks, I don't recommend it. At least mine is well managed.
So, I've been on a hiatus of sorts. No shit, right? It's been 4 months since I posted anything longer than a snippet, and a year and a half since I've touched Dancing Slave for more than a paragraph.
There's a bunch of excuses I could put here. Self discovery. Life. Organizing a move to Australia. Stress. Anxiety. Depression.
For a while there, writing became work, and work isn't fun. My muse ran out.
I'm typing this at 4am because I'm dosed on steroids, and decided to wake up now, despite having work in the morning proper.
Anyways, long and short, I -think- I'm back.
Writing feels fun. I've done some 5k words and lord knows how much brainstorming of ideas in the last two words. I'm excited for the burst of creative energy, and the support of my friends and fans who have kept me going through this long downtime.
Thanks for sticking with me folks.
I hope to have more soon.
The dancing slave saga IS NOT OVER. The story hasn't been told yet, and it deserves telling.
So goddamnit, I'mma tell it.
Just you wait. :P

Affirmations and gratitude and dealing with anxiety
Posted a year agoI have come to realize I'm not quite as okay as I ought to be. And, that's okay.
Nobody is perfect, right? All we can do is our best.
For those who know, anxiety is a right sonuvabitch of a thing that will hit you when you least expect it. Like a monster in the shadows, that you know it's not real doesn't make it feel less so, and when your chest is tight and your heart is pounding, like a plane in a flat spin, it's hard sometimes to pull yourself out of it. Sometimes, you just have to crash and burn and wait for the fires to go out before you can pick yourself up.
You're not physically hurt, but even so, you're exhausted and shaky from the ordeal, and it leaves you short of breath and worried about every little thing.
A year ago, I wrote a fun little piece that due to a lack of nuance, caused two folks who I had trusted and cared for to burn the bridge and send the entire friendship up in flames in the course of less than a day.
To the two of you, if you ever read this, or 'Keep tabs' or, whatever. Go fuck yourselves. I rescind wishing you the best. :)
I try to affirm friendships where I can, perhaps a little too much, but better than too little I suppose, because I am extraordinarily grateful for the good folks I have in my life, the good folks I have surrounded myself with. That support net probably has saved me numerous times now, and been there in my darkest moments, like proper friends ought be. But I also have an almost compulsion to let folks know exactly where I stand, how I feel, to show my gratitude to them, and I'm fairly sure it stems from this and a few lesser incidents like it in past, which.... sucks? Would it have been too much to ask that I could be a good bloke without having to go through all that shit first? Ha...
And yet because of that one incident, I fear giving folks that trust again. I worry that any of my other friends could drop me just that easily over such a stupid goddamn thing. And in moments like this, it gets to me, that worry, that irrational fear, that pain of having to lose friends I cared a great deal for, and whom I falsely thought returned that. It's been a whole goddamn year, and I'm still dealing with the whiplash and lasting trauma from just how blindsided I was.
Shit sucks... But I'm trying dammit. I'm getting better. And my friends now are better than they ever were.
So, to the good folks, keep being your amazing selves. Lift your friends up, champion them. Hell, somebody has to.
/end rant. Panic attacks suck, and I needed it off my chest.

Finding Adequacy in Gratitude: 2023 Thoughts
Posted a year agoHey all!
It has been... A hell of a year. I feel like every month has ended with me sighing and mumbling those words. Hell of a day. Hell of a week. Hell of a month.
2023 was not my best year on record by any metric I feel.
But given what a year it's been, I'm... Still rather pleased with it overall. There's a lot of empty seats at the table. Heck, Shadi and I lost three family members in the back half of this year, and two in the week before Christmas alone. It's been a hard time. There's been a lot of tears.
But, so to are there new folks and friends to help fill the quiet voids where absent friends once sat. And I cannot adequately express my gratitude to all of them, new and old alike. Words for feelings that big simply haven't been made yet.
And this year, without those friends, I'm not sure the year would have been nearly a fraction as good as it ended up.
If you've been around me, you know I don't mince words when it comes to expressing my heartfelt thanks to people. Sometimes, a friend just being themselves is more than enough. A word of kindness here, a nudge of encouragement there.
Saving a life because you happened to check in at the right moment.
Hell, that one still feels an odd debt to hold. Life plays out in funny ways sometimes.
And as I've gotten older, no richer for wealth, but certainly for wisdom, whomever said that the real treasure on the adventure was the friends we made along the way was right.
It's corny, sounds silly to say aloud, and yet, there it is. More money can always be made. Time with those most excellent and dearest friends can't. I've come to truly cherish every dang minute of their time I'm given, in person, online, seriousness, silliness, and sadness or smiles all around.
Good folks attract their like, and this year, I had the delight and pleasure of meeting entire circles of them, both in person and from around the world through this weird and each fandom and friends.
You all know who you are. If you think it's for you, it's for you. If you don't think this is about you, it is about you.
Each of us bring little sparks of joy and hope and good to those around us in wonderful, often unseen, and unexpected ways. It's that second one that bothers me, because friends should be championed and praised often for the good they do for us. Would you really want how much they matter left unsaid after all?
So thank you, to my friends, dear, wonderful, amazing people you are, for being my friends. So much here when I say this, words of adequacy to capture just how much you all mean fall woefully short, but I hope you all know you matter a whole hell of a lot, even if we don't talk every day. Kindness matters, and ought be practiced often. I'm glad for each and every one of you, and you ought know who you are by now, ha! I make no secrets of my fondness for the quality and joy you all add to mine, and the lives of those around you as well.
Thank you to my fans, for your readership and little nudges of support and encouragement. And thank you, whomever you are reading this, for being yourself. Never stop trying to be a better version of that. Even a tiny bit each take will have made strides in a year's time.

A year and a day~ The Dancing Slave
Posted 2 years agoSince the last chapter of the Dancing Slave Saga was uploaded.
My how the time flies.
Tonight, I completed what is likely to be the second to Final draft of The Traveling Slave Pt7, this completing Book 3 of the Dancing Slave Saga, the Traveling Slave.
I've sent a link out to a single very carefully chosen beta reader for feedback. I'd love to have shared more after all this time. The chapter is a 17000+ word behemoth, and it ties A LOT of the plot together, with callbacks to each book before it and several side tales. It has been torture to be utterly radio silent for fear of spoiling all the twists, turns, and give away the plot in the final hours! Surprises are in store, and I want everyone who gives the saga a read to hit this chapter and have to take a hot minute to absorb those reveals and twists.
I hope y'all were paying attention :P It's a loaded one.
And it's coming.
Soon. Very soon.

One Commission Slot Open!
Posted 2 years agoHey all!
Bird site has spoken after I did a few polls to gauge interest, and I know you lot already support the hell out of me just by reading my works, BUT-
I'm opening up a single commission slot. This form is for submissions of interest. It will close when submissions dry up or I feel like it, which will probably be about the same time anyways, so likely after the Holidays, depending.
This is JUST FOR INTEREST, so no commitment is required on your part. If shit changes after you submit your idea, no worries.
These are at 15$ per 1k words, so actually DOWN from my usual rate of 20 that I have charged in past.
So if you have an Idea, and you think you can pitch it to me well enough to peak my interest, feel free to put it in!

November Updates!
Posted 3 years agoHeya Folks!
Wow, what a month. So, if my lack of activity hasn't gone unnoticed, I've been having a... Weird busy/heavy month. Work has been flat out.
If you've read my latest piece, Inspiration is... Pretty much where I'm at. Inspiration has been hard to come by when you're either busy or exhausted in most of your spare time. Being a parent and a writer is hard. Harder perhaps than I realized.
For those not in the know, I closed my Patreon a while ago and set up a Ko-Fi. I was betting on being able to be active more, and... Regrettably, that bet didn't end up in my favour. Life, ha. I'm trying folks. Goddamn I'm trying. I love writing, and it's just been hard to get in the zone lately when you can't get but 5 minutes uninterrupted. Even sitting down to try, I have to have a headphone off to keep an ear out incase Shadi or the kids need me. Most nights, I get home and am to damn tired to even consider it.
But today, I managed 600 words. It's not much, but it's something at least. Progress can be measured in microns or miles, but it's no less progress. It's more than I did all of last week.
SO, what is in the works then?
Well, Dancing slave continues slowly but steadily on course. The side piece for the raffle winner is getting towards completion, and I'm excited to share once it is ready. There's also another BIG side project in the works, but that will be some time yet, so stay tuned. ^^
Last month was largely focused on that, BLFC, and a fun little snippet I did for the awesome BlajnArt, FA: gryph000 for their awesome Werebirds, also known as Arvians :P Spooky buff birds. Point in case, it was an awesome feeling to be approached by her to work on some lore for them, and I was super touched. I've got a little bit of art backlog from a handful of pieces I got recently, some as gifts, others as little sketchy bits. BLFC was great, and myself and Shadi got absolutely plastered with
Stormgryphon and
dresil , who are sincerely awesome blokes, and it was an awesome time that certainly has helped to pull me back from the funk I've been in lately.
Hopefully, moving forward, I plan on getting at least a few hundred words done a day just to keep momentum up. I have another fun piece from my modern, mostly canonical 'The Bet' setting coming up,
I'm far from dead, even though my tired body would try to tell me otherwise. I'm hoping going forward, it gets easier from here. As always, I super appreciate all the support and encouragement I get from you folks. A kind word to a stranger can go a hell of a long way towards plastering a stupid smile on their face all day.

Short story Raffle!
Posted 3 years agoHey all!
Guess what! I'm holding a raffle for a short piece within the The Dancing Slave setting to celebrate some recent milestones! I've hit over 150 followers on Twitter, 700 on SoFurry (My main gallery) and over 200 on FA!
So, allowing for folks who follow me on multiple platforms, I mean… close enough to 1000? :P And while I'm between stories, I figure it'll be a great chance to practice some writing and give a little back to the fandom!
So, what is this and how will it work?
Well, it's simple!
For some overview, the as the name implies, the series itself features themes of slavery, ownership, war, speciesism, and a rich fantasy setting built from the ground up, set to the backdrop of a war between the greater feline and canine species of the world as they fight for dominance, while pressuring the other species on the sidelines to choose where they stand. Meanwhile, the mysterious and powerful Dragon clans watch patiently, funding others with loans as they see fit, manipulating the war to their own ends. Independent traders seek to make a profit where they can, and the slave trade is ripe. Freelancers and mercenaries sell their sails, airships and swords to whomever pays best. It is a time of chaos and changing times. The end of an era approaches, yet who will be left to see the new one remains to be seen.
I'll work directly with the winner to craft either a clean or NSFW tale of their character up to 4000 words (I say this now, lol) within the setting. This will be largely dependant on species, and creative licence is a given :P
The rules are simple!
Follow me on one of the platforms I use, FurAffinity, SoFurry, or Twitter. (Keeping in mind, the final product will be posted to the first two)
Comment below! Feel free to include a reference or link to your prefered character! I'll assign a number.
Winner will be chosen by RNG on the 12th of September, so two weeks and change.
Sharing, retweeting, and telling your friends is always appreciated!

Ych story auctions/offers?
Posted 3 years agoSo, I've seen a few writers use this sort of thing to good effect in past, and figure I have a whole list of ideas for side pieces and such within the Dancing Slave Saga setting, so...
Consider this guaging interest, and I'd sincerely love to hear your own thoughts on these. Is it a good idea? Should I go with it, or just open for a single commission as usual? Should I price it as usual, or offer some sort of discount/extension based on the bids/prices?
I'm curious. So far, I've got 4 ideas summarised but plenty more on my list, so I'll share them here. Let me know what you think and if you'd be interested in this kind of thing from me!
The Chase:
A recently acquired slave is to be used for a sport of sport by their owners. Like a traditional foxhunt, they are given ten minutes' lead and must attempt to flee their owners' grounds through a backwoods. When they inevitably fail, it is up to them to strike a deal to ensure they aren't simply disposed of out there with their captors.
Thieves Tango for Three
A sneakthief tries to break into Isiat's quarters to try and gain leverage over Isiat for his employer in an upcoming deal. Caught by a napping Shadi, she brings their intrusion to Isiat's attention, before thinking of more creative ways of punishing their transgression.
Nocturn, in C sharp Miner.
A slave in the mines hatches an escape plan from their masters with a few other prisoners. It's a solid plan, but there's one hitch. They'll need a set of keys to the sealed off sections of mine, and to do that, they'll need to get them from one of the guards. Lacking weapons or strength to fight, seduction becomes the plan of choice...
Browsing the wares
A trader find an unusual quality slave wearing a collar less than they should be rated for at a slave market. They insist upon testing the goods prior to purchase.

New chapter incoming! Preview and updates!
Posted 3 years agoGood morning folks and fans alike! Excellent news! The next chapter of the Travelling Slave is almost complete, coming in at just shy of 11k words!
I know uploads of the main story itself have been a little less frequent that I might like, but life and hecticness and work have been getting to me, and finding time and motivation to write recently has been a pain. Much of my writing is done on my Moto Play phone simply because it's what I have avalible when there's time to write!
Sincerely, I'm grateful to all who have stuck with me this long, and to all of my readers, new and old alike! It's a pleasure sharing the stories I weave together, and it is always a delight hearing your feedback on each piece I post!
Currently sitting at 699 watchers over on SoFurry, and just over 200 here, and wowza is that more than I ever expected! It's sincerely crazy to think, but I wouldn't have seen myself where I am just a few years ago.
The full next chapter is avalible for your early reading pleasure to my Patrons over on discord, though I'm thinking of switching to a less... Fussy platform in future, such as subscribe star, or hell, even KoFi, where at least 100% of support pledges go to the subject directly.
Keep in mind, if you want to catch me on twitter, you can follow me at isiat1. I post there a fair bit, and have made a bunch of good friends on the platform. Ironic that it only lets me post snippets in such short parts.
Thanks again for all your support folks.
Sincerely, I wouldn't be where I am today without it.
Have you a preview down below, and have a wonderful day!
The trader's Oasis, or Otharni Oasis, as its proper name had been a lifetime before, was perhaps the single busiest location on the entire continent by volume alone. When the trader's conference was called, they flocked from across the lands, and even braved the journey from across the far seas, all racing to ensure they had a favourable place from which to conduct their business.
From individuals with but what they could carry by cart to great caravans and airships loaded down with goods, people braved the harsh deserts, raiders, conflicts, the climate, and risked ruin for a chance at selling their wares.
But of course, being an oasis in the middle of the great desert also made it an invaluable stopover for all of those gathered for one other reason, a simple biological need that could not be ignored. It was also the only source of water for days in any direction. The crisp, mineral teal waters were strictly rationed and paid for in full for any amount larger than what one man could use himself in a few days.
For many of the larger airship based traders, and the great caravans of camels and other beasts, those fees could very quickly eat into their profit margins had they not prepared in advance. Great hydraulic pumps ensured a steady stream was available, and many airships would simply berth beside the river that had been excavated off of one end of the oasis for just such a purpose, allowing more water to be stored, and greater room to access it.
Thick lengths of hoses snaked back and forth, delivering it directly to each ships' onboard reservoirs before they would disconnect and return to whatever landing site they had previously used.
However, the abundance of freshwater also allowed for much-needed relief from the desert heat, and for many crew and free travellers, as a swimming location shaded beneath towering palms and date trees along the shores, the river was hard to beat, even when compared to the majestic waterfalls deep within the canine coalition pack lands.
Even to Shadi, it sounded like a fantastic way to break the monotony of her day to day life on the ship, between tending to Isiat and her practices. She was yet to have an actual client and was beginning to suspect that Isiat was merely keeping her to himself as much as able after her misadventure with the guards.
Plus, Larise had all but begged her to ask. In her own words, 'Anyone lower than a gold collar won't get anywhere near the water without a pack of guards swarming them.' She was convinced that Mack would act as their escort if she asked nicely. Plus, nobody would bother the old dire wolf.
Which was why when Isiat shot down her question as soon as she asked, she couldn't help but pout.

July updates! (Take a minute and read it!)
Posted 3 years agoHey all!
Wowzah, it's been a hell of a month, and the heatwave in the Pacific Northwest isn't being merciful for me. Fortunately, I have medical cooling which allows my power bill to be a little less, but uh, haha, yeah. With PG&Es rates it doesn't really make a huge dent.
I got my next dose of MS medication, so my immune system is nuked once more, and I probably won't die for at least another 6 months.
I've also been using Twitter a fair bit more just for 'Fire and forget' messages and popping in on random topics and conversations. Sincerely, there's some wholesome, awesome, naughty, and great furries out there, and I've even had the privilege of getting to meet and make friends with a few! I also reached 100 followers! If you're not one already, you should be! The link is on my main page!
Yay! Making friends as an adult with social anxiety and as an introvert is a weird thing to celebrate, but here I am! I'm glad to have. It's sincerely been a while, and especially since lockdown, being able to sit and chat with good company has been a bit of a short commodity for me. New friends are strange, and cool, but friends all the same ^^ Never be afraid to approach new folks in the fandom and say hi. You might surprise yourself and them!
But, anyways, what about the good stuff? What's going on with stories?!
Well, good news on that front! I have made some leaps with the Dancing Slave Saga, on top of the revelations I mentioned in my last journal. I've started (And almost completed!) A fairly wordy (over 12k words and counting) side piece containing one of the aforementioned Twitter friends, who was just… too perfect for the role I had in mind.
I'm not going to spoil details yet, suffice that it is a follow up for 'Reprisal for the Conquest', contains a very nice smutty scene, and is going to throw fans of the series through a loop with a few big hint drops for those paying attention. The dots of a much larger puzzle are about to start lining up.
I can't wait to see reactions :P
The main story as well is coming along at a good clip! I've almost completed work on the next chapter of the main saga, and again, as above, plot, hints, smut and story all in one nice bundle!
I'm working on arranging for art of another scene yet, but funds are very much in a holding pattern at the moment. I had to hold off for a few big necessary expenses and bills that came up (Damn car!), and dredged my savings account to cover like it was going out of style.
So yeah. Hey! If you want to be awesome and join the patreon crew or buy me a KoFi, those links are on my profile also. Any support is always Hella appreciated, even just spreading the word about my writing! Heck, I appreciate that more than any dollar amount.
I'm grateful for all you fans who have stuck about for my writing and storytelling. You guys sincerely rock. I cannot stress enough how much I love hearing feedback on my stories, what grabbed people, what they liked, which characters they hated, and what people think will happen next. (Snrk~ Poor Osiris from 'Daddy issues' gets no love xD)
You guys rock. And thank you for taking the time to read this.
And if anyone ever wants to just share their thoughts or say G'Day? Comment or just DM me! I'm always up to chat!

June Updates!
Posted 4 years agoHAHAHAHA FINALLY SOME GODDAMN MAIN STORY PROGRESS!
Chapter 4 is done pending final edits and passes, and is posted in my discord for my commissioners, patreons, and otherwise super supporters who have stuck with me this entire time with little word on the next chapter of the main story of the Dancing Slave Saga. Expect it likely next week!
So, with that out of the way! Hi folks! How're you all doing?
This month has been long already. I have my next MS medication infusion next week, so I can nuke my teamkilling fucktard of an immune system back into the dirt where it belongs. Aside from that, I got my car refinanced, which will help greatly month to month. Interest down almost 15% and the monthly payments down by full a third. I'm tickled, to say the least :P It's been... Really good though. I'm very positive in my outlook for this next month coming. ^^
Until then, don't forget! You can yell at me here! www.discord.gg/Pg49mkv
You can Tweet @ me here! Tw@tter! https://twitter.com/Isiat1
And you can support my bad tea habit and writing financially here! Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/Isiats_Writing

Birthday/May updates!
Posted 4 years agoHey all!
It's my birthday! Hooray! 28 Olds old. I get a free bonus to my 'Early greying' stat! I'm determined to make it a good one. Work and dinner at the in-laws this Arvo, so I have a good excuse to make some Hella good ravioli. If you want to drop a kind message here, that'd be awesome as well. It's been a rough year so far.
Every kind word is sincerely appreciated. The world needs more of them, and they cost you nothing.
Onwards to the update itself! Work is continuing, albeit, slower than I'd like, but still faster than I'd hoped for. I'm aiming at minimum 200 words a day on the dancing slave saga, and a few short odds and ends here and there.
I should have at least one or the other ready to post soon, so I'll be able to get back to sharing the writing I so adore with all of you kind folks!
Aside from that though, there's not much going on. Writing, raising the kids, and Pokemon Snap :P
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

March Updates
Posted 4 years agoHey all!
Dang, it's been a minute. How the hell is it March already?!
So I've got some updates for you all since I haven't done one of those in a while! Where to begin?
Well, real-life as it goes has been hectic. I'm busy busy busy, sleep-deprived, and for the most part, doing well! Tax return helped myself and Shadi get matching PCs, since we were both terribly overdue for a future-proofing, and those are all set up and running splendidly! It's nice to finally be able to play recent games in anything about the 'Lowest' settings. I got myself a nice curved 24 inch monitor, and DAMN is it bright. Imma have to find dark mode for Google docs again for my writing!
On to that front, writing has been slower than I'd like, BUT, as you should be able to tell from the art, I have not been idle! Work is getting done, and I'm loving the commission's and Artist,
Sikopio who has been so agreeable and excellent to work with on some commissions to bring the scenes from my mind into a visual reference. Good things can only come from it I say! I’ve already hung a 16”x32” canvas of one of the commissions on my wall in my ‘office’/dining room as it were.
The Travelling Slave carries on though! I'm hoping to finish out this next chapter here in the next few ‘when it’s done’! I'm reaching the point where I'm having to look back a lot to make sure I'm avoiding any continuity errors with the universe! A 5e game is still in the works for it as well, but again, time is a commodity, and what little I get recently is needed elsewhere. Soon. It will happen, I promise that much! I’m starting work on Saturdays for overtime again though, so we’ll see.
Of course, it’s still a grind forward. I drafted this journal on the 13th and still haven’t posted it until today. I wrote a paragraph this morning and redlined two and a half pages, so it feels a lot like one step forward, two thousand five hundred steps back. I make a little progress, and then remove an entire section that I conclude doesn’t fit, but that’s editing. At least I can still obviously recognize what isn’t working for the story. Just at the moment, it seems to be more than what is.
I've also got three more side pieces in the works in various stages of completion because I'm really bad at doing one thing at a time. Sue me :P
Oh! I made a Twitter account as well. I generally detest the platform, but in small circles, It has been a nice way to keep up and in touch with a few cool folks and post updates here and there! You can follow me at Isiat1 to join in! I try to at least check it every now and again.
Beyond that though, I've mostly been pressing on and trying to get things done, but hey, that's life for you.

Looking for feedback and ideas!
Posted 4 years agoHey all to watchers old and new alike! Welcome back. 2021... Where. Okay, let's get on with it.
So! For those here who have read and seen my passion project, The Dancing Slave Saga, you'll see I like to toss in kinky side pieces from time to time, not just for smut (But I mean, that also...) But to help expand the setting and universe itself, adding new lore and hinting at mysteries undiscovered!
Being a new year, and while I'm working away on the latest piece for the main tale itself, I'd love to take a second and hear what all of you would like to see more of! What areas to venture into, what species to delve a little more into. What would you all like to read a bit about to help grow the setting?
Let me know in the comments below! Thanks again for all of your support!

Alright, on to the next year.
Posted 4 years agoHeya folks.
Wow. Fuck.... 2020 can go eat a bag of dicks. Unironically, both my best and worst year. I had a new kid. I got told to write my will by my doctor. I recovered. I swapped careers like, 3 fucking times. I wrote stuff. I got awesome watches. I got awesome paetrons. I worked out this country is probably not a viable long term option....
Yeah, fuck 2020. Begone. Anyways, moving right along!
So! What's the goals for this month?
Well! I'm glad you asked! The dancing Slave needs to continue. I took a nice December hiatus, and that's over. Back on the horse to move forwards with it! I also started a few other pieces, which I'm sure I'll get to at some point.
The Dancing Slave D&D Session is still in the works, and I've got most of the background stats and such for it mapped out. I just need to convene a time and such to do it and organize the battle maps. I sincerely am looking forward to that :P Those in my Discord know what kind of shit I get up to when I GM in a homebrew setting!
Aside from that, I'm flat broke. Savings has been empty for the last 2 months, so I'm looking to fix that in the short term. I miss having my financial 'Oh shit!' expense net.
But... Yeah, basically, I'mma keep doing what I do, and providing you wonderful folks with a steady supply of quality writing to enjoy!
Thanks again for all of your support! You guys made 2020 sufferable :P On to the next year, aye?
Happy new year folks!

Updates for November/December!
Posted 4 years agoTo my old and new watchers alike, welcome! So, there's some big updates and big projects in the work for the coming month before the end of the year!
On the Dancing Slave Saga front, we have a few pieces upcoming. The First is a new side story, Titled 'The Falconeer's Foxtrot', which, for those interested, is available for early reading for my Patreons and financial supporters over on my Discord, which you can find over here: https://discord.com/invite/Pg49mkv
This short (I say Short, but it's actually around 9.5k words >.>) story follows a New Character, Rika, an anthro Alsatian bird handler for the Canine Coalition, and the best in her trade. It also establishes the lore for those Gryphons we got to see racing against Scion in Book 2! Just how the hell did High Fortune obtain them? Well! Pay me and you can find out. Support me for free and you can find out this Friday evening when I post the whole piece!
Aside from that, Work on Chapter 3 of The Traveling slave continues! I've completed the opening scenes, as well as a paid extension of the last scene from Chapter 2. The story moves forward with more intrigue, plot, and schemes within schemes!
BUT, before I can complete that, I've gotta write up something for the ever lovely Shadi's Birthday this December, so expect something witty, kinky, and suitably romantic for all the saps among you.
Aside from that though, it's been a busy month, but somehow, despite it all, I've managed to keep progress moving ^^ I'm all rather proud honestly, and plan to hit December like a freight train and get some serious writing done!
Hopefully, everyone else's month will go just as well!

To my recent followers, fans and readers! Info, upcoming,...
Posted 4 years agoTHANK YOU!
If you made it this far, well hell, at least you clicked on the Journal!
To those who are new here, welcome! It's awesome to have you all along for the wild ride that is being a furry writer, parent, and everything else I am in between. The fandom as a whole is fantastic, and I love seeing all the new and returning readers each time I post!
My current major project is The Dancing Slave Saga, which can be found neatly organized along with some great artwork on my two major galleries!
The Dancing Slave saga on SoFurry
The Dancing Slave saga on FurAffinity!
As the name implies, the series itself features themes of slavery, ownership, war, a good smattering of NSFW scenes each chapter, and a rich fantasy setting built from the ground up, set to the backdrop of a war between the greater feline and canine species of the world as they fight for dominance, while pressuring the other species on the sidelines to choose where they stand. Meanwhile, the mysterious and powerful Dragon clan's watch patiently, funding both sides as is best for their own ends.
If you're interested, I'd recommend a read! All the chapters of all three books so far are folder setup for ease of finding, including several side pieces and artwork that helps expand the universe, provide visuals, and fill in the setting and characters, motives, and goals of the different factions within.
There's art, side stories, and much more in the folders, and much more to come, story and art both. The art is funded largely in part by my awesome Patreon supporters, who have helped me through several rough spots with their donations, and I'm finally at a point where I can start investing those funds back into my writing instead of just getting by. If you enjoy my work, the worlds and characters I bring to life, and want to help me further expand it and get early access to my stories before they're posted, you can join them over here: Isiat's Writing Patreon!
Currently, my plans include continuing on with Book 3 of The Dancing Slave saga, as well as some additional side stories to help fill in the lore of the world and breathe life to area's only hinted at in the main tale itself. I'm also planning on soon running a one off 5E Dungeons and Dragons game set within the universe of the Dancing Slave to give my fans a chance to interact and literally play a part of the story in D20 form! More details on that to come, but if you're interested, let me know in the comments! It'll be for up to five folks, and with enough interest, I may even live stream it via Roll20!
So again, welcome new watchers! Welcome back old readers! And thank you all for your ongoing support!

Where do you fit in the fandom?
Posted 4 years agoExactly as the title states. You wouldn't think it'd be a difficult question, and for most, it probably isn't.
I've been in the fandom over 15 years now.
Fifteen years.
That's a hell of a long time to commit to any one thing, let-alone a weird subculture based around anthropomorphic animals on the internet. And yet, here I am, grey muzzle and all.
But still, I recently asked myself this question, and realized 'Huh, I don't actually have a quick answer to that.'. I'm not just here for the art. I'm not just here to share my writing. I'm not just here to meet folks and have a good time. It's all of that and so much more.
Sincerely, this fandom is the reason I live the awesome life I do. Without it, I'd have never met my lovely wife of nearly a decade, would have never built the awesome family I have, and certainly wouldn't be the same arrogant prick with a grin I am!
Without it, I may well have died on at least two separate occasions. When I was younger and in darker places and just kind of gave up on life, and just in the last 12 months, when my liver went ahead and tried to do that anyway without the rest of my body's consent. Without it, I'd have been staring down bills at the worst possible times without a means to cover them. Without the fandom, the dream would have ended for me years ago.
That's a oddly hard thing to admit.
It's strange to say I feel indebted to this bizarre and wonderful subculture, but the truth is I do. It's part of why I stay around. Part of why I try to make it a better place for everyone through my interactions, and my volunteering as a moderator over at The Fox Den discord server, where I try and live up to my impromptu title of 'The Fox Dad', and be a helpful and (mostly ;3) wholesome mentor figure of sorts, so new furies can find their feet and maybe, just maybe, get the same kind of wealth from the fandom as I have. If I can make someone smile in a day, I've done well.
So here's my question to anyone who managed to read this far. (And I'm sure there's like, maybe a dozen of you at most :P)
Where do you fit in within the fandom? Is it just a smut thing? Is it a fun thing? Is it more than that? Let me know in the comments! I'm always interested to hear!
Oh, and September updates! Uh, Fire fire everywhere, and new job this week. Work is getting done slowly on stories!

.....the fuck did I miss?
Posted 4 years agoDid I miss a thing, or am I just out of the loop because I stick to my own shit?
So there seems to been conniption fit over yonder FA way when it comes to Feral art/Writing/OMGYURAZOOPHILEIREPORTYOUGROSS. Apparently the fan/shit/hit over on Twitter I guess? (There's a reason I stay away from there. To quote Monty Python, "Let us not go there. T'is a silly place.")
Point in case guys, I'm here for the fandom. I support common sense. I support folks being themselves. I support kinky fantasy writing. I shouldn't need to tell my adult audience 'Don't try this at home.'
Like, for fucks sake guys. I'm sighing as I write this. 'Don't bonk yer' dog. Mkay?'. Common sense.
"But Isiat, you wrote about Isiat fucking a feral lioness and you have the art of it-"
Bitch please. Do you think I'm going to go and try that?! Shadi already scratches the hell out of me enough as is! xD I write porn! It's all kinky fantasy. That's literally the entire point. People need to figure out where the hell the distinction between fantasy and reality is. (And I know, the world as it is, right? What a year to fucking say that!)
SO, Now that saying the stupid shit is stupid.is out of the way, The Traveling slave is making good progress! Hopefully, I'll have some more to share on that soon, but shifting jobs and with homeschooling my kids and everything else crazy going on, it's been hectic. But it's getting there. Progress is slowly happening, but finding time to sit and get into a good writing groove is tricky. I'mma have to figure something out once everything stabilizes as my situation goes.
I don't know, what the hell are your guys thoughts I guess? I mean shit, if you're reading this, you probably follow me already, and therefore, you've seen the shit I write. I feel like that should be 'nuff said.

Commissions on hold!
Posted 4 years agoHey all!
I'm closing commissions temporarily until my life situation has calmed down a little more than it is currently. With School back on, myself resuming work (And about to change positions again!) and the ardors of Trying to help my wife keep up with home schooling and a newborn on my weekends, It's been way to hectic for me to even get my own writing done, let alone any additional work. It sucks, but it is what it is. There's simply not enough hours in the day as it stands. I get home in time to get dinner organized, get the kids to bed, and by then, IF I have any time left over, it's usually spent unwinding. Everything blurs together until I get to the point where it is 'Today' and the day of the week is 'Yes'.
Hopefully, once I get settled in this new position, I'll be able to find a little more time, but as it is currently, that doesn't seem like it will be a thing until then! Stay tuned. Once things are stable again, I'll re-open them and get back to all the folks who have poked me regarding them! I haven't forgotten about you all, and I sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm for my creations! It'll just be a bit until I can get all these ducks in a row and get back into a regular writing groove!

August (late!) updates!
Posted 4 years agoHey all! Hows it go-
"What the hell Isiat? You haven't done shit for like a month you lazy fuck! We came for stories!"
Okay, okay! I know! This last month has been... an absolute cluster fuck to put it lightly. Let me give you an update on the bad, and then we'll move to the good.
The bad! I quit my job. Personally, I'd say this was damned good, as I was going to kill myself if I had to keep doing that shit. Simple as that. So really, this could be considered good, were it not for the timing. Finding a new job in the middle of everything was... interesting. I'm currently holding down a full time surveillance position, which is an awesome job I enjoy the hell out of, until such time as my local hospital gets all my background checks in order and I join on with their I.T networking team as a network annalist, which is awesome. I've been wanting to get out of customer service and into IT or security for years now. In the span of a few weeks, I got both! However, the IT also pays a shitload more, so uh, yeah, there's that :P
Homeschooling started for my eldest kiddo! Which is great! But this also happens to neatly coincide with my days off, so, yeah. Writing time has decreased. I'm still making progress, but it's going to be a bit slower than previously for a little while until things start to normalize and I get the hang of just, not having any set writing schedule. I'll probably go back to typing on my phone in my breaks at this rate. But progress is going :P More than likely you'll see small updates and snippets on my discord! There's also some awesome art coming up for the series, and I'm excited to share it once it's done!
The long and short of it is that things might be a bit weird on my uploads for a little while, and there's going to be some delays. Sincerely though, I am super appreciative of all the support you guys provide! It really has helped me get through this rough patch, and I'm always humbled and amazed by it. I'm hellbent on seeing this series through. Some stories have just gotta be told. Expect more soon!
If you want some more regular info, feel free to join my discord! I try to respond when poked there! discord.gg/pg49mkv

In the meantime, here's a sneak peak at my next piece to be posted that goes public Friday, 'One Trader to Another.'
He'd kept her waiting almost an hour now.
Over an hour in fact. The small, delicate watch upon the lady hare's wrist put it at an hour and some past midday, and her business appointment had been for noon. It was a deliberate delaying tactic, and she knew it. Her own trading reputation had long since been eclipsed by the might of the High Fortune and that many tailed vulpine behind it, along with his dragon clan sponsored crony.
Her foot thumped on the hardwood deck of the reception area, an irritable tick of hers that was rooted back to her very genetics themselves. Prey creatures seldom made a big splash when it came to interspecies politics, and she had fought and clawed and kicked for every ounce of her own reputation. In some cases, more literally than metaphorically. Predator species tended to use their place in the supposed 'natural order' of things to enforce their wills, as the canines were with their most recent attempt at expansion.
As for her though? The thickset hare woman didn't care about territory, or conquest, or where her supposed place was. She'd made her pillar on the backs of gold coins, and everyone could see her worth as an ally as soon as they saw her trade ledgers. That in itself was enough to silence even the canine's brainless blather about their superiority. When she had something they wanted, it was just a matter of dangling it like bait before them until they were willing to negotiate.
And then this fucker, had the audacity to make her wait over an hour just for a damned audience! Who did he think he was?!
"Are you quite done? Your incessant thumping makes it difficult to work." The red-scaled dragon behind a fine oak desk on the other end of the room tutted at her, like a teacher admonishing a student for speaking out of turn.
"Is your master quite done delaying our meeting?" She snapped back at him with a blunt stare that spoke volumes of her annoyance. He shrugged the comment off as if it were no more bothersome than a light breeze.
"Dragon's do not have masters, rabbit, and you would do well to remember it should you ever warrant the attention of the clans. He will see you when he's ready to see you. I gave you a time to make yourself present. You are speaking to him at his leisure, not yours." The dragon stopped what he was doing, his quill pausing mid-stroke as he met her with a steely, golden stare. She met it right back, brightly intense green eyes clashing. She wasn't intimidated by him in the slightest. Hell, she had stared down dire wolfs in negotiations. As far as she was concerned, he was just another person between her and a highly lucrative deal that the vulpine was wasting her time with.
After a few moments, Scion grunted and returned to filling out the ledgers. She let out the breath she didn't realise she had been holding. The white and brown hare knew she was swinging well above her league with some of her recent deals, but there was no faster way to get ahead in the game than by taking chances. From what she understood of it, the vulpine who owned the High Fortune had won it in a game of drunken chance, and gone from nothing to a venerable juggernaut within the trading circles overnight.
Her own rise hadn't followed quite as sharp or dramatic a curve, but none the less, what she herself had accomplished in a relatively short time was no less impressive, perhaps even more so as almost none of it had relied upon pure chance.
"So what exactly then, is he doing that is keeping him so preoccupied?" She huffed, trying to keep her tone even and level, and failing on both counts, her irritation bleeding through into her voice.
