Breaking news !

My excessively ambitious project of putting Lothar in a game has been revived !
And this time, it smells good, I have a good feeling about it, because I found an ARK modder who accepted to work for me, to continue where the previous progress has been left, and finish it..

Hopefully.

Honestly, I hope that I will not be disappointed once more. I almost completely gave up the last time. I tried, with so much different "animators", but each time it failed, due to lack of knowledge, or people were just too much lazy.

I will post some updates here on my FA, as soon as I receive new WIPs.
The creator said that "a few months" will probably be needed for completion.

And to be 200% honest with everyone:
I'm paying a new 1500£ for this commission. Add all the previous costs, and you get a ridiculous price, but this is my dream since 2021.


If everything goes well, Lothar should be available in the game "Ark Survival Ascended", in the in-game Mods Library as an "Additionnal Creature", as a free download publicly for everyone. It will not be available on official servers, but it will work on single player and custom servers.

I'm starting to get more and more mad each time a new commission i've ordered gets canceled by the artist for -whatever the reasons-.
It happened 7 or 8 times in 2024 ! And the worst is that it's starting to cost a lot of money.

Why this ? Because even if the artists refunds the payments, my bank account currency is in EURO. When paying is USD, the tax and currency exchange rate often leads to money being completely lost.


Quick example:
A commission paid $350. That was €329,36 on my bank account.
After being canceled months later, refund is $350. But the amount of money I get on my bank account is €319,66.
So in this example, I lost 10 euros.

Some bigger projects with much more money have been canceled the same way.

This is getting not acceptable at all, i'm getting tired of artists opening commissions, and months after the payment, coming in DM to say "hey let's cancel everything".

Hello :) Anyone playing the new Ark survival ascended ?

Since a few months, I am no longer uploading new content to my FA, and I feel bad about it, because I want to keep posting new lovely art of Lothar for you.

But !
There is a good reason behind it.
It has been planned since the end of 2021. I will be going in approximately two months to the absolutely beautiful island of La Réunion, a french island located South-East Africa with one of the most active volcano in the world. I will stay there for 14 days, and I will try to make a sort of cinematic video of my event there.

This whole project costs me a lot, because I go there with my sister, and it's a gift for her because she has a lot of money problems and will probably never be able to go there with her own money.
Because of this, trying to spend the minimum money possible to keep the maximum for the traveling. And also due to the recent bad events in the world (war, covid, but also severe drought in France), the life in my country cost more and more, days after days. My job is uncertain also, I work in a milk factory, and due to drought, the milk is becoming a rare resource.

So, apologies if I just can't upload new content to my page, I don't like that, but it's hard times.
I hope to be able to start again taking lots of artworks soon !

Thought it would be good to give you a more detailed update about the actual progress of my game project with 3D Lothar.

First of all, yes, it's taking A LOT of time, I know, i'm aware of the "problem", but please keep in mind that it's a huge quantity of work and I can't pay everything immediatly, it must be done as multiple separate payments. The pro animator who is working on this also has another project in progress, so that's why it takes additional time.
Just don't worry, this project is very important for me, and it will not be left dead. Never. I got a few donations from generous people, to support this project and it warms my heart so much. Thank you, so very much. When everything will be finished, the names of the contributors will be displayed <3

Here is the actual progress list of the animations for my model. The ones that appears in green are finished/ready, and the ones in orange are still in progress/not started.

- Look directions.
- Take off.
- Fly at low speed.
- Fly at high speed.

- All the required transitions / connections between the different states / animations.

- Some animations may be added or deleted (ie: i'm unsure about the sleeping animation, that could be replaced with something else).

Also, all the sound pack for Lothar is ready.

Today I am REALLY excited to announce that I finally found a french professionnal animator for my 3D model !

I decided it's time to start working on something a lot more serious, to really add Lothar in Unreal or Unity, to be able to play with him !

I don't know how much time it will take, and it will probably cost me an INSANE amount of money, but.. I really want it.

The animations i'm getting for 3D Lothar are ~20 animations.
The most important ones are:

- Idle on ground.
- Idle in flight.
- Walk.
- Run.
- Take off.
- Fly at low speed.
- Fly at high speed.
- Glide.
- Land.
- Jump.
- Attack with maw.
- Attack with paws.
- Attack with ice breath.
- Sleep.
- Reaction to taking damage.

Once this massive work will be done.... It will be the time to find a programmer / developer, to create the code in Unreal or Unity. I will also have to find sounds for the animations...
AND THEN... Lothar will be playable.

This is so cool, I could cry because I am so happy right now !!

Depending on the limitations and how this will work exactly, chances are high that I will probably rename my account for the name of my dragon.

Each time I have to upload arwork to my gallery here on FA, I'm constantly struggling with the resolution (size in px). I have absolutely no idea of what max size is best for uploading ?

Small sizes are not friendly with large screens / large resolutions like 2K / 4K because they appear super tiny.
Big sizes are not friendly with small screens / small resolutions like 1080p because they don't fit in the screen.

What do you think ?

I finally found one today, and i'm on his waiting list ! :D
I can't wait to share with you Lothar in 3D. It will be a very good quality render. Once it will be created, I will ask the same artist to do different scenes with fully detailed environments.

Any of you are photographers maybe ? =) I love photography, i've been a photographer for more than 10 years. I'm mainly a thunderstorm chaser, so I take a lot of weather related pictures, lightning, and all...

But I always wanted to take great pictures of wild animals. Even if I had a not-too-bad digital reflex camera (Nikon D5100 with a very old Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5), it wasn't good enough to take decent pictures of animals.
So, today I spent an absolutely insane amount of money, to buy a professionnal digital reflex camera, and 2 expensive nikon lenses.

I'm now the happy owner of a Nikon D500, with a Nikon DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4 VR, and for the very first time a super telephoto, the Nikon FX 200-500mm f/5.6 VR. I can't wait to try this new stuff out, and I will try to upload on my gallery some awesome shots.
I've spent approx $3700 for this...

I'm also keeping two of my previous lenses: A Nikon FX 50mm f/1.8, and a Tokina DX 11-16mm f/2.8 .

Okay, days after days, i'm getting more and more annoyed by that. I'm pretty sure you know what i'm talking about.
It became common for 90% of artists I watch... I'm talking about the huge language abuse when using the word SKETCH.
When you go on an artist's commissions page, an open YCH, or every other page where art is being sold, if you are interested in getting a fully rendered artwork, almost all artists will say it's a.. COLORED SKETCH.

STOP this. This is completely wrong, unless you are selling a bad quality drawing to your customer, a rough sketch that is not refined/finished at all.
A sketch = a rough or unfinished drawing or painting, often made to assist in making a more finished picture.
A sketch is not a fully finished, fully rendered artwork.

Why is it so annoying ? Because some artists are using the word "sketch" properly, and if you really order a colored sketch, you will have a colored sketch. But due to all the artists who thinks their fully rendered pictures are still sketches, finally you never know what you are going to order...

I already got scammed one time because of this language abuse, and it was with a extremely popular vore artist... I ordered a $200+ "colored vore comic sketch" as well as 3 or 4 more people. Others got a fully refined product, and mine was SKETCHY. When I told the artist why my drawing had a bad quality, this is the reply I got:

" Yep it's done! There is just a lot going on in this piece and more details, so it's sketchier. But the comics I do are supposed to be sketchy. c:
Comics: Done in a colored sketch style.
Just in case you were wondering! "

But I was not able to fight against that because too many people are supporting this artist, so.. it was just my "fault". 500k+ pageviews with 11k+ watchers, and you can do absolutely what you want to your customers even if it's unfair, nobody will care !!!

So, yes, i'm completely tired of this. Stop duping people with language abuse. If your art is sketchy, then you are doing a sketch. If your art is refined, then you are doing a finished picture.

Usually, a hungry Predator ! But I can be pretty easily forced to be prey, though.

I love digestion so badly. It's always involved with Lothar noms.

Oral fatal vore is my favorite. Strictly no hard vore (no gore or blood even with digestion, but polished bones after digestion is really hot <3 ).

Dragons, definetely dragons. Then big snakes, and also some pokemons.

Mmh, no preferences here I think. I like same-size vore and also if the pred is bigger than its prey.

Well, in the vore community itself, approximately 10 years. Around 2008 / 2009, but I had my first vore commission in 2012.

Playful but determined. The one that will tease its prey, but will eat to eat. Food is food.

Till it digests ! And I love super fast metabolism >///<

Oh my goodness, they are incredibly hot ! <3 A burp is the sound of a predator claiming its prey.

I like bulges, but I prefer them not to be very detailed. Slightly rounded, before they gets more nicely rounded during the digestion process..

The digestion of a prey that has been swallowed alive.

Yes, really interesting question. I didn't became a vore-addict years after years due to the fantasy in artworks. I've always been into vore since my childhood, and I don't know why. I had a dinosaur plush that had the mouth opened, when I was less than 10, and I was constantly putting things inside its mouth, objects, or even my own face. When I was watching animes or playing games, I was constantly thinking about what would happen if I got ate by the creatures. I was blushing severely when I was looking at the dinosaurs in Spyro 2 swallowing villagers and instantly after spitting out a bone. But the thing I loved the most was the real animals documentary about snakes... I always preferred the real-vore with pythons than the fantasy-vore.

19. What's your favorite part of a vore scenario?
Ehm.. I like the whole thing, so.. I don't know what to reply. Probably when the pred spits out a skull with a loud belch ? :D

20. What sort of vorish media do you prefer? Art, animation, writing, etc?
Art that comes with a little story. My imagination does the rest.

This is sad, but it becomes extremely annoying days after days. A lot of artists start to upload ads on their main gallery to advertise their content, and they send their viewers to Patreon.
FA is not a place for ads like that. If they want to advertise their NSFW art, they just have to make a banner and propose it to FA.
I run an Ad-blocker because I really hate ads, if FA becomes a sharing place for ads with wrong tags and ratings, then I will remove involved artists from my watch list.

Dear people, learn how to use Coordinated Universal Time ( UTC ) !

Unless you're speaking only for the people of your country, please stop using local times for world wide. UTC time is more easy for everybody in the world, it's made for this.
SO, for example, if you live in America at New-York, do not use your local EDT time for world wide, use your UTC time instead ( UTC-4 / UTC-5 ). And what if your country use Daylight Saving Time (DST) ? Then just adjust your UTC time with one more hour or less.

It's extremely boring to see people telling local times for world wide. It's incredibly difficult to know the beginning of a stream, or the end of an auction, and nearly impossible if people don't even specify if their country is actually using Daylight Saving Time.

Well..
After playing since the beginning of Ark, I have to admit that all the efforts I made were absolutely not worth it. Since the release date, my Xbox official server is dead. Everyone left, to go on new servers.
I tried to transfer a lot of things on a Legacy Ragnarok server to be able to play with griffins or ice wyverns, but too many people have already done that, so it is impossible to tame or hatch anything on Legacy Ragnaroks.

So.. I have to say the worst painful thing. I'm going to have to find a new official server, a non-legacy one, and lose absolutely EVERYTHING.
RIP my LvL 400+ mutated dinos family. Byebye TEK base and TEK stuff. I don't know how many hours i've spent to have that, and alone.

But I don't want to stop to play that awesome game. I will not give up and restart everything, even if I don't know if I will have the courage to advance to TEK and overpowered dinos with full imprints..
But this time I don't want to play alone, and I want to find good friends to play with.

I bought the game on XBOX and PC, and I have Scorched Earth. If anyone wants to play with me, I would be more than happy to come with you.
I am a very serious player, and I will gladly help my tribe mates.

The only thing I ask is no PVP server. Strictly PVE. If on PC, I am willing to play on a non-official server, as long as it's not with stupid rates boost ( like if every noobie can advance to TEK after a week of game, haha NOPE, as I said I am a serious player ! ).
