Paypal issue (partially) solved
Posted 6 months agoI just made a new paypal account, and it seems to function. It has some issues connecting to my bank account, but other than that it is still available to send invoice/purchase invoice to other Paypal users.
Back to normal!

My Paypal account is banned
Posted 6 months agoMy Paypal account is permanently banned for some unknown reason. I'm trying to fix the issue, but honestly it seems bleak.
So I opened Payoneer as a substitute account, and Patreon supports Payoneer as a payout option, so my income is secure.
However, as far as I know, a lot of artists only accept Paypal for their commission purchase option. Which is a concern because I really enjoy commissioning other artists.
If you guys have used or are using Payoneer, can you send money to a non-Payoneer user or even Paypal users?

I’m free!!!
Posted 10 months agoI was finally discharged from the hospital today! It has been 30 days since I was hospitalized. I was in the hospital for 67 days last year, so compared to that it was relatively quicker. I really, really hope this is the last. I wasted almost 100 days because of this diabolical bacteria called MRSA. And I still have to regularly visit the hospital numerous times.
But at least the tough part is done. I will slowly return to the normal life during the rest of the month!

Medical Update (Good News!)
Posted 11 months agoIt has been about a week since I’ve been hospitalized.
The pain during the procedure was unbearable at first few days, but it quickly went away throughout the week with the inflammation. By next week, they will stitch it, and then the procedure is basically done.
The problem is the antibiotic treatment, which I’m taking through an IV. It will take several more weeks, just like last year. So I probably won’t be able to get out of the hospital within next month.
The good news is that I am now finally able to draw again. I’m currently working on a new drawing, which will be finished tomorrow! I will not let everyone down.

Medical Issue Update
Posted 11 months agoAccording to the MRI results, the abscess and inflammation were worse than I thought. Antibiotic treatment has started. In the meantime, my doctor decided that surgery would be the absolute last resort. So he decided to do it the old-fashioned way: incision and drainage. I don’t have to go through big surgery like last year, which is good.
However…there are some downsides to this.
Even though they give me local anesthesia, it is still horribly painful. They make an incision at the inflamed part, put inside a suction tube to drain out all the pus, shoot a saline solution inside, and then stuff the inside with gauze to clean the remaining gross stuff.
...and I have to do this EVERY DAY until I fully recover, which will take at least several weeks.
I already went through these procedures yesterday and today. It was the most painful experience of my life; it was like torture. Three nurses had to grab my body to prevent me from falling to the ground. My facial mask was completely soaked with my tears, sweat, saliva, and blood from the neck. I was screaming so loud that even the doctors were worried and took pity on me. I couldn’t walk after the procedure because I lost all energy, so I had to use a wheelchair to return to the ward.
Doctors said that the pain will gradually go away because the inflammation will get better. But still, it’s a long process. I really, really hope that all this pain will pay off with a speedy recovery, but everything is unclear at this point…

Health Issue Update
Posted 11 months agoI will be hospitalized today and start the antibiotic treatment all over again. It is again due to the Staph infection. Just like last year. Also, I’m going to get another MRI scan to see if I need to have surgery again.
The worst news is that this time, even insurance can’t cover the bills because the relapse happened far too quickly.
I have no idea when the treatment will end, and I'm expecting to be in the hospital for weeks or even months, as was last year.
It’s just depressing. It’s already eating away my health and spirit…

Bad News
Posted 12 months agoI have some bad news.
The abscess has relapsed. I received test results yesterday. It isn't as severe as last year, so I don't think I'll be hospitalized. However, I must be careful just in case. Next checkup is scheduled two weeks later, so I'll have to take antibiotics in the meantime.
I really, really hope I recovery quickly from this. I can't go through those dreadful experiences again.

Health Update (GREAT NEWS!)
Posted a year agoThe MRI result came out very positive, so I will be discharged tomorrow! I was fully expecting to be discharged next year, so this is a pleasant surprise. Two months of hospitalization are finally over! I was wearing shorts and flip-flops when I first came here. Now I have to wear a coat because it’s quite windy out there. It’s really emotional. Guys, staph infection is no joke. I mean, any type of infection has to be taken very seriously. Go to the hospital as fast as you can.
Speaking of recovery, I’m actually not completely recovered. I have to take antibiotic pills and visit the doctor every two weeks for a while. So I still have to pay a lot of hospital bills.
That’s why I need your support. My family’s financial situation will worsen for a while because of the hospital bill. Insurance can’t cover everything, especially when you have been hospitalized at a big medical center and gone through various treatments, including surgery. I want to help my family. So please, please support my Patreon!

Really bad news…
Posted a year agoThe relapsed abscess hasn't improved, so I’m likely getting a surgery AGAIN. The last two months of antibiotics and hospitalization have been a complete waste of time. So I'm thinking about transferring to another hospital after I recover from the operation.
It's really depressing...

Incoming art posts
Posted a year agoI was going to release the Patreon artworks in August after I’m discharged from the hospital.
However, the nurse said that the chance of me being discharged next week is low, despite what the doctor promised me.
So I’m going to post August Patreon artworks from now on.

Health Issue Update (Good news and Bad news)
Posted a year agoMy recent MRI scan was reviewed by the doctor. The bad news is that I won't be able to leave the hospital tomorrow. It has been rescheduled to two weeks later. The scan revealed that the inflammation is still present.
The good news is that this isn't a relapse. Because the lesion was so widespread, they were unable to entirely remove the inflamed tissue during the surgery. Surgery helps the healing process of the abscess, but the one finishes the job is the antibiotics. And these remaining remnants of the inflamed parts are in the process of recovering.
It is sad that I can’t go home right now, but at least it’s good to know that I’m recovering.
I’m terribly sorry for the FA watchers. I can’t post artworks in the hospital because I don’t have a PC here. As soon as I’m discharged from the hospital, I will release the Patreon artworks from August and September. Stay tuned!

Health Issue Update (GOOD NEWS!)
Posted a year agoFirst of all, about my health. Doctors said that the antibiotic treatment following the surgery is going well. The prognosis is good, and the blood tests came back normal. I will be hospitalized additional three weeks from now. So, I will most likely be discharged from the hospital around the end of this month.
And about the internet access: I managed to contact hospital personnel and have them repair the router installed at the celling. It was just unplugged and plugged back in. And it worked. At first, hospital staff were indifferent and annoyed by my complaints. According to patients, the public Wi-fi problem at this medical center has been around for YEARS! I was baffled that no one seems to have tried to seriously complain about this for a long time.
So far, everything is going well. I will continue to draw this month. And I will fully return in three weeks! I really, really hope this positive outcome lasts till the end.

Health Issue UPDATE
Posted a year agoThe operation went well. It hurt like hell at first, but it’s all better now. An abscess and inflammatory tissue are successfully removed. The bacilloscopy results from that tissue also came out. The reason was a Staphylococcus infection. To be honest, I’m perplexed because that bacteria is so common. The good news is that I can now receive antibiotics that particularly target that bacteria.
Anyway, I can now draw on an iPad despite being hospitalized. However, because Wi-fi is not available here, posting artworks or chatting with friends may be difficult. Everything will be posted as soon as I’m back from the hospital, which will most likely take some weeks.

I'm hoping to finish the current drawing by the weekend. Wish me luck!

Health Issue
Posted a year agoSince last year, I've been suffering from a large abscess in my back neck. So far, hospitals did typical treatments such as incision-and-drainage and antibiotics, but the lesion kept coming back. The abscess ruptured for fourth time in May of this year. So I went to a medical center today for a proper examination (CT, MRI etc). The inflammatory tissue covers my entire back neck and part of my back head (About 20x10cm). It was determined that surgery is necessary. The operation is scheduled for August 28th. On the bright side, the inflammatory tissue is at right under the skin, so it’s not deep. But the hospitalization after the surgery will be lengthy because of the antibiotic treatment. This surgery will get rid of the root of the problem. I really hope this goes well.
So, how will this affect Patreon? I don't know for sure at this point. Obviously, I'll need to be hospitalized before the surgery, but I'm not sure when that will be. It could be next Monday or the day before the surgery. I won't be able to draw after the hospitalization because of various checkups and preparation for the surgery. However, after the surgery, I will be able to draw while recovering.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I will recover as quickly as possible and get back on track!

Changes planned for 2023
Posted 2 years agoIt has been 10 years since I started drawing furry historical artworks. Until now, I've thought of this activity as my hobby. But from this year, I'm taking the next step. I'm opening a Patreon! I'm still working on specific details like tiers, but I will open it before this month ends. You don't have to worry about the paywall, because all of my drawings are eventually gonna be released to the public. I just want your love and support to keep drawing!
I haven't uploaded anything yet, but here is my Patreon link. I will write another journal when I officially open it!
https://www.patreon.com/WilhelmHistory/
And there will be some changes in this Fur Affinity account, too. I will start uploading my OC commissions in the Scraps folder! I had been commissioning artists for years and I have a whole lot of commissions that I want to share. Also, I'm planning to change the folders to more specific categories.
Thank you so much for everyone.
