Welcome to Defenders of Wildlife FurAffinity group page.
This page is dedicated to furries who are passionate about saving the animals that our community resembles and have cherished all our lives. Being furry means a lot of different things to different people, but for those who feel that they must help protect the animals that we cherish, this page is here to help guide and redirect us to organizations and events that will help make a difference. Although the phrase, "making a difference" is very cliche, I do mean it when I say we can all help make a difference with wildlife here. Either by donating, writing letters, or creating works of art to help promote the defense of animals who are defenseless against humanity.
One of the first steps would be to stay informed, either by consistently checking this page or signing up with Defenders of Wildlife's eNewsletter.
Defenders of Wildlife has been voted the best non-profit wildlife organization. They're constantly battling to protect wolves in the Greater Northern Rockies, and funding scientific studies to learn how humans can coexist with wildlife, and much more.
Donate Now!
Would the animal your fursona resembles consider you worthy of using their image?
This page is not run by a Defenders of Wildlife employee. This page is run by a supporter of Defenders.
NOTE: To people who want to debate with me: I'm very open to debates and will not take it personal if you disagree with me. I simply have one request and that is to know what you're talking about!

1000 Wolves Killed
Since Wolves were delisted back in 2010, over 1000 wolves have been killed as part of the "Management" plans of the state of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. There is no end in sight for the slaughter of these wolves, many of which are collared research wolves.
The situation looks grim for wolves as they will soon become extinct again in these states. If you live in one of the states who are recklessly slaughtering their wolves, how are you helping stop the slaughter?
P.S. Looking for new active wildlife activists to help manage this "group".

It may be a bit premature but does hold some promise for canis lupus in Nevada, only time will tell.
