I had been in FA since August 2007 and never once did I browse or attend to the forums at all save once to see why FA was completely dark back in 08 or 09 I think it was. Then in September 2010, I chose to take an extended hiatus from FA because of the excessive drama, trolls, and illegal cub porn rampant on FA at the time. At that point, anything I posted was only on DA and has been all this time. Now I find that while cub porn (which Dragoneer originally wanted/liked/advocated in the first place and refused to ban it despite it being illegal by Supreme Court ruling since 2002, as I understand it) has since been banned, Dragoneer is now protecting someone who is an outed rapist by forcibly silencing people who bring it up (deleting their posts) and banning people across FA. Harboring/protecting anyone who is a rapist, child abuser/molester, murderer, animal rapist/abuser, thief, or one who has committed any crimes, especially violent crimes, is illegal. Those who do are guilty of not only aiding and abetting said criminal, but are also guilty of accessory to the very crimes committed by the person they are protecting. I do not abide such criminal activities, period. Mind you, outside of nuking my inbox once in a blue moon (maybe once every year or two at most), I had zero to do with FA at all since September 2010. At this point, upon hearing the drama shit storm that FA has become and the harboring of criminal activity (real or alleged), I have quietly removed everything from my gallery and journals, deleted all my icons (save one I found elsewhere and posted for Halloween one year because I liked it and since it's a skull, I thought it would be appropriate to leave behind) and info from my page, removed my entire watch list of 340 artists, and posted why I am no longer here in its place.

I personally am long since done with FA and the bullshit drama fest it has become. While I have my issues with DA, I have thus far been able to keep things relatively drama free for myself by NOT browsing the forums, simply blocking the trolls and quietly reporting the thieves (both to DA and to the original artist via notes or similar) that wander DA periodically. No, I will not be returning to FA in the foreseeable future, and regarding Weasyl, I am undecided at this time (though my presence there is unlikely at current). IF by some miracle the drama shit storm abates and stays minimal, and IF the harboring of criminals and criminal activity is terminated completely, then perhaps I may consider a possible quiet return to FA. BUT, both of those conditions are required to be met before I will even consider the notion of returning; and honestly, I do not see either happening any time in the next few years if past experience is any indication. As an artist and writer, I must focus on what is best for me. Though some of my decisions may rub some furs the wrong way, it is they who choose to take offense at my decisions. My only reason for retaining my page (empty though it is) here at all is while I am a realist, I am an optimistic one and I still have some hope, however slight, that things will eventually turn around for the better for me to be comfortable with being here again. But as I said, I do not realistically foresee that happening any time soon, if ever.

TLDR: After an extended hiatus since Sept 2010, I've deleted what is mine and walked away from FA. This is not to say I care nothing for the site or the fandom, I'm just sick of the drama bullshit. Drama and illegal crap go away, maybe I might be persuaded to think about coming back, but I don't expect to.
