Throughout nature's mating rituals, none is more complex and intriguing than the documented case of the Capreolus capreolus and the Cervus elaphus.
The smaller capreolus will initiate, showing interest in a second male through audio and visual queues, usually choreography to a hit song from the 1970s. The other male may not be receptive at first, ignoring the advances as he is more interested in "having one normal Saturday where this shit doesn't happen".
However the first male will aggressively pursue until the mating ritual is completed by the act of the second male locking himself in the bathroom to finish his Sudoku in peace.
