I usually work without it, at most - a month from the start(!) of work, I take everything with a large reserve. everything is negotiable.
I work ONLY on weekends (saturday, sunday)

EXTRA PAYMENT is for: background, complex detailed coloring of the character, unusual appearance (raptor, skulldog, something fictional, etc.), too complex detailed idea (in particular background)
