~Support_Species_Diversity
Welcome to Support_Species_Diversity!
Now, before anyone gets offended and jumps to conclusions that this is a hate group, PLEASE READ THE THE FOLLOWING FACTS BELOW:
+First and foremost, this is NOT AN ANTI-FOX/KITSUNE/WOLF/HUSKY/COYOTE/DINGO/ECT. GROUP. While we believe that the following species are overused and have become (and I'm going to put this bluntly!) boring and generic, we also believe that a character cannot be soiled completely just because it MAY BE an overused species in the fandom. I have come across a few characters that were of a popular species that radiated with originality, granted, the artist put a lot of time and development into that character.
+WE DO NOT HATE OVERUSED CANINES. In fact, the creator of this group has had an avid love for Siberian huskies since roughly age 5. We do not hate these animals in general just because they are overused by people as fursonas, although, yes- we HAVE become irritated and down right sick of seeing the same recolored wolf over and over; we're not going to sugarcoat that part.
+WE DO NOT, in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER encourage or condone in trolling or harassing other users just because we don't believe that their pick in fursona species is great. Any members caught trolling random users with overused canine sonas under the name of this group WILL be removed, and reported to the admins. We have absolutely zero-tolerance for harassment.
+This group is open to all opinions. Be it positive, or negative. If you disagree with this group, feel free to share your thoughts, it is the internet and no one can stop you. However, please be mature and respectable when commenting whether you take offense to this group or not. Do not comment rudely. Mindlessly baww'ing because we insulted your *~*~SUPER SPECIAL FURSONA~*~* will not prove any point you are trying to get across.
*ahem* That aside, this group was created for those who's fursona/main character is not a common canine. We've come to notice that there is very little variety in the fandom when it comes to species. Fox after fox, wolf after wolf, husky after husky, and so forth. For the most part, these particular species are picked out simply because people find them majestic, or want to conform and feel most comfortable looking like everybody else. It's become a fad.
We believe that a character doesn't HAVE to be one of these animals to be beautiful. We believe in a fandom of diversity and excitement; we love to see new things, not the same thing over and over!
We believe in being true to yourself when creating a fursona, instead of picking out what's cute or what everybody else is doing. We believe in branching out towards other species, and giving love to so many other critters that go under appreciated!
Feel free to join if you are sick and tired of seeing "I'm a fox! =^.^=" on everybody's profile. To join, simply click the +Watch button.

Therianism: Why it's simply a state of mind.
It has come to my attention that every single person who claims to be a therian, either identifies with cats, wolves, foxes, or other types of canines.
Claiming that they were this type of animal in a past life.
And I have to say..
I'm sorry, but it is bologna.
If therianism were an actual process, all these different types of people would be an abundance of different animals.
I have never seen a mouse, nor a primate, nor a reptile, nor a groundhog, nor an aquatic animal, nor a penguin, etc.
"But I howl like a wolf/ meow like a cat/ feel like a fox!"
That does not have anything to do with spirituality, sorry.
These animals are popular picks with people because of one thing-- aesthetics.
People are drawn to the aesthetics of these animals, and cling to their mannerisms. Associating these characteristics with their own identity.
It is natural for humans to like pretty, attractive things. Which is where the issue people of swearing up and down that they're wolves come from.
But logically, the idea of therianism just doesn't add up. If it did. Why would EVERY human reincarnated from an animal happen to be only limited to these species?
There are THOUSANDS OF SPECIES in the animal kingdom.
You are not a wolf.
You are not a fox.
You are not a cat.
You are a human being.
Unpopular opinion has been voiced. Initiate rage.
End rant.

I don't like the fact nearly nobody makes unique sonas, but I won't get pissed if another fox or wolf appears
Not naming names. I don’t want to start drama.
In all seriousness though, these days it´s not that bad, looks like new people choose to be something more original. Still, if they like orange foxes let t...
