Okay, not that anyone really gives a damn but some of you may have heard about some of my recent health issues that, one, came within hours of killing me and two, I've been in a wheelchair for the last year and a half slowly regaining my strength and learning how to walk again. No, it wasn't a stroke or anything have to do with my heart or head. What it came down to was the back injury I incurred back in 2004 had made it impossible for me to exercise (or draw or do anything but move) and a bad diet from eating poorly (a bowl or two of chocolate ice cream was a lot easier and less painful to prepare and serve than a proper meal was) resulted in Adult Onset Insulin Dependent Type 2 Diabetes, which being undiagnosed and then poorly self medicated, almost killed me. Nearly dying, being completely broke, and a few near and dear friends is what finally saved me. However, being hospitalized finally had doctors not in the pocket of the insurance company seeing me and treating me for my chronic back pain and I found a lawyer who was able to get me on SSI. Anyway, now I'm eating right and with the rehabilitative therapy I'm working out five days a week rebuild my leg muscles. It's been excruciatingly slow and painful but I am making progress; progress that I can really only see when I compare it to where I was a month earlier, but progress all the same. With a little of the money I did receive from my SSI I purchased a Wacom Cintiq Tablet and with the spare time I have here at the physical rehabilitation facility I'm staying at until I can walk again, I'm going to learn how to use this thing to start drawin' some deer pr0n. So watch this space! And thank you sincerely to all the well wishers and those friends and fans that have hung with me through my 10 years in hell.

Actaeon taking over Tim O'Rourke (TOR)'s FA account
7 years ago
To whom it may concern:
As many of you know, Tim O'Rourke (aka "TOR") passed away on October 30, 2016. My name is Actaeon, and since FA has not yet marked Tim's account "deceased," I have decided to upload his remaining artwork here, as best I can. I'm sorry it's taken so long, but Tim and I lived too far apart for us to visit regularly, and it's taken several trips to get his affairs in order. More work remains.
Tim and I met in 1997 and quickly became friends, due to our mutual love of wildlife, biology and artwork (especially deer), as well as many other shared interests. I designed and managed his first online art gallery and assisted with technical support as he became more computer-savvy. Tim gave me access to this account for tweaking and troubleshooting, and I believe he would approve of my being here and uploading the rest of his artwork, but if anyone has concerns, please let me know, either on this journal or via e-mail: actaeon2005 at Gmail.
Thank you for your time.
