Howdeeee from bEast Texas USA! (Actually the Kilgore/Longview TX area! That's 2 hours east out of Dallas, 30 minutes east of Tyler TX or 1 hour west of Shreveport Louisiana right off Interstate 20.) I'm not an artist or fursuiter, just a graymuzzle brown bear that enjoys taking pictures and making silly videos of cons and whatnot now and then!
I've loved cartoons since I was a little kid. I spent my childhood years in Southern California and was fortunate to grow up watching 60's and early 70's classic Hanna-Barbera, WB Looney Tunes, MGM and Disney cartoons on TV. I also read a ton of Harvey and Gold Key kids comics back then too, especially the awesome stories written and drawn by Carl Barks (who created Uncle Scrooge, look him up!) I was very lucky that my family went to Disneyland many times, and I saw many now-classic Disney movies in the theater when they were brand new, especially "The Jungle Book" and "Robin Hood". Looking back, I think as a kid my favorite things to do was to read comic books and listen to the radio or my records!
I started collecting Furry comics back in the mid 80's when they were known as 'Funny Animal' comics. But when my family moved to East Texas in 1988 I moved to an area where the local comic book stores sold mostly superhero comics. So my interest in anything anthropomorphic except for movies like "The Lion King" died out for a long long time. I bought my first Windows PC and started using the internet in 1995, but I didn't find out what a 'Furry' was until July 2003. That's when I stumbled onto some online comic strips on Keenspot.com: (The Class Menagerie, Newshounds and The Suburban Jungle). A link on a Class Menagerie comic led me to checking out the Funday Pawpet Show. A week later I was in a chat room full of Furries for the first time. I got hooked on watching the show every Sunday and started learning about the Furry Fandom by chatting with other furs or doing random Google searches. There was no Wikifur or FA back then, so it took awhile for me to figure out what a Furry was. Once I did I realized I had a been a Furry since I was a kid and didn't know it!
If you're wondering about my name, its an old high school nickname I used on BBS's, Quantum Link (remember that, Commodore-64 fans?), and later IRC (Effnet and Dalnet). When someone in the FPS channel asked me if I was a "Wild Bill" from Ohio I tacked on the "TX" as an afterthought. Oops. Somehow it stuck.
In 2006 I finally had enough money to fly to my first Furry Convention: Megaplex 5 in Orlando Florida. I had an awesome time and now I regularly attend Texas Furry Fiesta, Megaplex, Anthrocon, Alamo City Furry Invasion and Mephit Fur Meet.. going to cons is addictive, exciting and so much fun!
I enjoy all kinds of furry art, but my favorite kind is classic 1940's-60's "Toony" characters! I also love Furry art with lots of detail, the more photograph-like the better.
I also LOVE great fursuit and convention photography and videography! I'd love to own a DSLR but I hate to transport and lug a big camera around a con. I've owned several point & shoots over the years and the photo and video quality is getting closer to DSLR quality quickly. Small cameras are also very handy for sneaking up on unsuspecting people too. :)
In real life, I'm a former radio DJ with almost 20 years experience, with a (way too) big Vinyl, CD, Tape and Mp3 collection. I love ALL kinds of music, especially 50's-70's Oldies and 60's-70's Motown-Stax-R&B along with Classic Rock, Rower Pop, Pre-Grunge Alternative Rock, some Top 40 hits and Country. I can tolerate EDM (Electronic Dance Music) but I want some strong melodies, Big hooks and if is not an instrumental, smart lyrics to go along with those hardcore beats and bass drops!

Is this thing still on?
I haven't messed with FA in a long time, so whats going on?
I haven't been to a con since TFF earlier this year, and I dont know when I will attend another one. AC and Megaplex are a no go. Maybe MFM or ACFI.
I started re-editing and uploading older con photos to Flicker from Anthrocon 2009 and 2010 last month, but they are halfway done. So I need to get on the ball and get them uploaded asap because now that Smugmug has bought Flicker, who knows what will happen? I'd like to get all my convention photos from 2006 to 2018 on there too..
