Every year, I tend to choose one class and do each student a little piece of artwork. I tell the students that it is a challenge however, using it as a behavioral tool. I have a three strike system, where they have three strikes the six-eight weeks I have them and if they keep at least one strike at the end they get a prize.
For the more likely to misbehave classes, I give them the opportunity to earn a piece of artwork by keeping all three strikes the whole time we draw together.
Thus far its worked wonders. I have a returning student who used to bully the other students and made their former instructor cry in frustration. Using this option, she has never shown any of her bullying tendencies, has been helpful, reliable and shown great promise in her artistic ability and control over her more less productive behaviors.
She requested the Simba and Nala image in the bottom right corner. They have one more week with me, and we're hoping the last day they don't blow it!

Hum how does that line go in jurasic park go as the guy is hunting the Female T-rex or was it a Raptor near the beginning? A yes, clever girl! This describes you to a t! I always knew you were smart. Kudos for you for coming up with an awesome unconventional solution to a rather all to common problem these days. Way to be clever. I can tell you love kids and working with them. You seem to have loads patience.
These are awesome sketches. They all are very cool but my fave is the dragon with all the neat little details such as the spots, scales, webbing between the toes, fin, and the nice little chin barbels. The tongue and little claws are nice touches too. So much care and detail for such a simple little drawing. You are an excellent artist my friend! May you never lose yer talent that makes you oh so happy and love life.
You and Az take care and may you be safe and happy always. Have an excellent day!
