What of the hunting, hunter bold?
Brother, the watch was long and cold.
What of the quarry ye went to kill?
Brother, he crops in the jungle still.
~Rudyard Kipling
A loose warm-up painting I started last night, and finished up this morning.

Gorgeous work. I love the soft dappled lighting. Wonderful job. :)
As those before me have said....WOW. That is positively gorgeous!
;o; I have never worked with acrylics
are they hard to control? I mean, they are not as liquid as watercolors (Im used to this)

That picture is, I believe, the shit. I want this painted on a wall in my house
If you do a warm up with a wolf like this, I will throw all the money at it.
Seriously.... I thought this was a photograph when it was small in a thumbnail! Very awesome work as always!
The eyes are so piercing and intense!
Gosh, now I want to start painting (which I can't do) or do something off of William Blake's "The Tiger"

"What immortal hand or eye dare frame thy fearful symmetry?"
*chuckles* This wonderful picture does instantly bring that poem to mind, doesn’t it.
I usually use water color paints on my wood projects, but have been thinking of switching to acrylic. Water colors have worked well for reliefs, but as the grain changes in a full round piece the water colors will look different. Do you know how well acrylics respond to wood when going into the grain?
Completely brilliant! And as jingoistic as Kipling can be, darned I sure like a lot of his work.
I dunno when was the moment when I started disliking lots of your stuff.
Oh Blotch, I love ALL YOUR ARTS. If only I was a billionaire.... Then I could just buy all your art, and put it all in a gallery together, and put together a virtual tour for all the furry fandom to enjoy.

OMG! Want. If I had monies I would be throwing at you and screaming TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
Was a pleasure watching you paint this earlier today!! Turned out gorgeous!!
WOW! Amazing as always! The fact that it doesn't have any outlines and that it's painted in acrylic makes this one stand out from some of your other pieces.
Really nice with the brush works and colours, good to see you paint in the stream
Sometimes there comes a picture so sublimely beautiful you can only stand and stare in awe.
This is one of those times.

Wish my warmups were like this, heh heh. Painting isn't my thing. I end painting myself more than then the paper or the model, ha. Though I do love my Warhammer 40k!
Will you post a journal when it is set on eBay with a link, please?
You would draw the Mona Lisa and say 'well, it's a warm-up painting...' Telling Blotch how incredibly incredible their art is has all the significance of gobbing into a river, since hundreds of other fans have already pointed it out...but I'm doing it anyway
This is pricey living room painting quality
