NOTE: I DID NOT MAKE THIS ART!!!
It was made by Fable / ESDA06 (http://esda06.deviantart.com/).
The character belongs to me, but credit for the creation and art goes to her.
So this is the character created by Fable that I commissioned at Anthrocon 2013. I don't normally post other people's art on my account, and if I do I normally put it in the scraps. But, this hasn't been posted by the artist, and it doesn't deserve to be in the scraps. So, I'm giving this an exception and posting it in my gallery.
What the commission was was basically to create a character based on whoever commissioned the character, so, in this case, me. I wrote down some info about myself (age, gender, interests, personality) and Fable took a picture of me, and she used that to design a character.
I think the commission was aimed towards those who didn't have a fursona, but I wanted to know what animal someone would pick for me based on who I am. The only reason my fursona's a cheetah is because the cheetah is my favorite animal. No real deeper meaning behind it. So I was curious as to what Fable would pick, so I commissioned her. I didn't expect that she'd pick a feline, because I'm pretty sure my personality doesn't match with one, but I didn't expect a skunk either.
I will say that I am very happy with what she came up with. She associated skunks with a gentle, down to earth personality. That's pretty much the essence of how I described myself.
As for how the character looks, I'd say I'm glad and splurged to go for the colored commission, because I really like the coloring she picked. And he probably looks more like me than my cheetah fursona does. She nailed the sideburns, and I took much amusement in that. Also, that tail looks very fluffeh, and I love fluffeh, so that's awesome.
He's also a more toony looking character than my cheetah character usually is. I kinda like that. I suppose where the cheetah is just me as a cheetah, this is more of a caricature of me, so the style fits.
There's other things I like as well. The one picture with him playing the banjo I absolutely love. For those who don't know, I would love to learn the banjo. It's at the top of instruments I want to learn. I wrote that I have an interest in the banjo, so I just love that Fable included a picture of him playing one. I also like his pants. They look good on him. Plus they have plenty of pockets. And I also like the picture on the far right of the more feral stance of the character. Though, I don't really think it's a feral form. He's just an anthro character that can also be on all fours. Or, that's how it looks like to me. And I like that as well.
So, here we have it, my folksy, down to earth, character based on my created by Fable. He may not be my fursona, but he's my character, and I'd love to make use of him in the future. I have some name idea for him, but I haven't decided anything yet.
Anyways, I hope y'all like it as much as I do, if not more. And I'd like to thank Fable once again for the awesome character.

That's a really neat idea. I wonder what sort of creation would result for us.
I loved drawing this dude. I really hope more people come to me for similar commissions because I get a HUGE kick out of trying to interpret people into animals.
