Sally may now have some new duds for this new world, but she's also discovered she's got a new body as well XD It seems that proportions normal to us are rather odd for a Mobian. Tune in next time to see Sly's reaction to her new clothes :3
Here's the next part of the collab between Waimbert and myself, where he draws the black and white comic while I handle the script and coloring. I have to say, he's outdone himself yet again on this page :D
Feel free to comment ^^

Welcome to a Different World Sally where we... oh wait wrong introduction to worlds
Thanks, we went through a few different ideas before reaching this one :3
Think about how she normally looks, and how all her friends normally look. To her, she'd be deformed into a different norm.
Yes, but that's besides the point. From her perspective, she's a freak.
Thanks, I thought that would be a great way to end this one XD
This is fantastic, can't believe I've missed this til now! Can't wait for the next one!
Fantastic GB, I can't wait for the next page, and draw Sly reaction.
XD this shoulda been sally's look instead of the fully covered monkey suit they made her wear
This seems like a jab at the current stuff they've been passing off as art in the comics. Also, her new form seems like the good old days when talented people like Butler and Axer were doing the comic; I like it.
On a side note, it looks like she's taking OFF the blue shirt when she's putting it on.

Well, I'll admit that this comic started due to how unhappy we've been with the direction the comic is going XD
As for the shirt, I noticed that too but rationalized it away by saying she just puts shirts on in a weird way due to hardly ever wearing them lol

Fair enough though it comes off like a little striptease...ahem...yeah, I hate the current art and the new designs are.......LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Not to mention hideous.
They're generic conformed SEGA designs, yap.
Everyone has gloves to make animating them in the games easier and many of them have those silly round looking heads.
The worst part is making Antoine nude while Sally fully clothed though >.>

Princess Basketball-Head and Lawyer-Friendly Wile E. Coyote. Not to mention that everyone has sticks for limbs, inconsistent cheek fluff, Olive Oil torsos, and bumps if you're a lady. Never mind how all of this is brought to us by the magic cop out device known as the Genesis Wave. Is it too soon to officially start throwing Spider-Man: One More Day jabs at Archie yet?
Spider Man: One More Day was the crap Flynn was doing to Bunnie, to have her legionize herself due to how incompetently she was written.
The Genesis Wave is more of a Marvel/DC reboot event.

Nah, One More Day seems to fit the notion of let's get rid of stuff to restart everything back to some old way. Just think deal with Mephisto = Eggman making deal with Wiley. Sonic, like Mary Jane, is the only one who remembers the old way and our hero couldn't care that the continuity has been abandoned. I'd compare Bunnie to the Fantastic Four film where Ben Grimm returns to being The Thing simply because the others were in trouble. They just didn't have the cleverness to going Iron Man on Bunnie to compensate.
Was it not enough to find some happy ending for everyone and then start the world anew where no one has continuity as an issue to weigh stories with?

Well let's put it this way. In One More Day Peter was written as really stupid in order to try and accomplish a goal (saving his Aunt) from dying due to a bullet wound. At the same time, something this simple should have been fixable in some way or another by any number of super heroes yet in the end he made a deal with the devil to get it done.
With Bunnie, she was useless in battle purely because she was written as an idiot without a weapon of any kind, and then instead of talking to Tail, Chuck or Rotor, ran off like a fool to her Uncle who works for the devil to get her limbs sliced off and replaced with robotic ones that Robotnik could detonate at any time. This essentially destroys Bunnie's personality and character, and makes it impossible to sympathize with her from this point on.
While not exactly the same, I still see the main flaws and bad writing in both stories that make them comparable.
As for the Fantastic 4, the issue was that they were all super powered humans fighting each other. The Sonic universe is still covered in completely normal people that have no super powers yet still do great things for the greater good. There shouldn't be a reason for her losing her robotics making her completely useless in a fight on its own.

Well Sonic, Tails, and Amy have some kind of power up and Bunnie was the muscle. Let's not forget that Bunnie was briefly deroboticized in the show (it wearing off makes no damn sense to me but whatever) and she didn't seem the least bit helpless even though she didn't go into combat. The level of emotion when she had it stolen from beneath her is lightyears away from the sheer stupidity of what was happening. As for One More Day, Mephisto rewrote historical events that mostly lead to cancelling the marriage. The second Genesis Wave has done that to a degree but with details changed about the Prime Universe to create the SEGAverse. In fact, Bunnie seems more like Leela making a deal with the Robot Devil in Futurama.
In any case, Flynn should never have been hired. Whether or not some greater force was interfering, what he pumped out, or even at least how he did it, has been detestable, illogical, and SO unfulfilling. As a 20 year veteran, I can look at these stories and see exactly where the plot holes, inconsistencies, and other failings crop up. I'd abandon this thing if I didn't care so much about these characters (especially Sally -my favorite).

For me, I reached the point of abandoning it when those said characters were erased forever and replaced by their SEGA alternate reality ripoffs.
It's not so much that Sally get de-roboticized, it's that Mecha Sally never existed and this SEGA Sally always looked like that from the start. We've also seen that with characters like Max, people have lived entirely different lives here, so it's not just reversing time or a soft reboot of some areas, this is an entirely different world now that's just slightly similar to the old one.
I have no obligation to continue to follow this story anymore since after 20 years, the characters I've followed for so long don't even exist anymore.

Same here, but I have completionist issues so I can't let go. I guess I'm doomed to know EVERY atrocity that's flung at these people I love.
They're not the people you love, they're just alternate reality characters that look like them.
I care more about the Sally from Sonic Christmas Blast and she was an over-glorified cardboard cutout.
Yap, so I have no more reasons to continue following the comic with the new reality now.
Yap, we wanted to go with something similar but not too identical to her regular look.
Well, more-so in Sally's world then Sly's world, but yeah XD
Yeah I know, I just didn't feel like making Waimbert go back and change it XD I'm just pretending that Sally is putting the shirt on weird cause she doesn't put them on all that often XP
dimensional travels often happen to have afew side effects such as the body gets altered in certian ways to get use to thee dimension
One thing's for sure, I really like Sally's new outfit in this comic, especially with those socks and sneakers! :D
Yeah, I'm happy with the design Waimbert and I came up with ^^
I'm hoping we'll be able to see more of her in this outfit for sure, man. :D
Now, now Sal. Remember: One person's sense of disgust is another person's concept of beauty... or fetish. X3
