Oberon Tyto (1555-1575)
"When the wind doesn’t breathe a sound, and when the shadows reign over the land, we will come for you. We are the silent. We are the night. We are the Albanox and your blood is ours tonight."
--
During the vicious reign of Emperor Pyrus, many subjects were erased by the hands of the Albanox, a specialized race of killers, bred solely for the purpose of assassination. The red marks on their foreheads are both a symbol of loyalty and total control. From birth to death, they are at the mercy of Pyrus. Tytans are force-bred with each other at a very early age, then once the eggs are laid, they are separated for isolated incubation. Even before they develop a sense of self, they are trained to be puppets to the officials they work for, who are mostly politicians. Any ‘wild-spirit’, or rather the youth who have a heightened sense of existential awareness and realize the chains around their necks, are killed.
The fate of the Tytans began at the early days of Emperor Pyrus’ crowning, when other Raptorians vied for the throne, the Tyto Albans being at the head of this uprising. As punishment, all guilty parties were killed and then their unborn children raised to form the Blackhands, without knowledge of their ancestry or parentage. Their existence was hidden from the public eye, one of the best kept secrets of Pyrus’ rule. Later, when a large force was amassed, Pyrus revealed them as the Albanox. The ‘white night’ and that’s when fear of the night changed from the color black to white.
