We are very VERY proud to present this next costume. Another huge accomplishment for FH and it has been the one of the biggest projects we have completed to date. The hours we put into this were extrodinary compared to other average suits. And here are the results for you to enjoy.

Please PLEASE go visit and see the rest of the amazing photos of this guys 7+ ft wingspan and all the beautiful markings underneath! One photo does so little justice to the gorgrous enormity of this work of art.
The actual owner was invited for the photoshoot, and instantly played the character so well! The owner also has another head for this costume made last year, so will be naming this one Jetsem, and the other Floatsam.
We got to experiment with lots of new techniques and ideas for this one! The concept art on this one was our Bible, and without it this suit would not look as awesome as it does.
This flappy birdy has 2 layers of secondary feathers, and 1 layer of primaries, all with varying stiffness. The end primarys have structural slots for fingers to allow for some clever expressions. Slits and snaps on the wrists allow for use of human hands when necessary. The beak is gelcoat and fiberglass from a silicone mould and the original clay sculpture that was started over a year ago. The eyes are also rather cool, as they were designed into 3d and cut on our CnC mill in about 45 seconds, vs. the otherwise 30 mins to dremmel them. The feet and legs are vinyl, with cast resin claws. Padding in the legs, chest, and butt, as well as some airbrushing all over. Vinyl was fun to work with in large quantities, and presented MANY challenges. Oh and this suit took a very large amount of fabric in total.
Wow what a great project this has been and we at FH are all celebrating its debut! Watch for it in the California area. Not sure how far he will 'fly' with this suit as its a bit bulky to pack with all those fluffy feathers ^^.
Enjoy!
Edit: Name spelling changed to Jetsam, instead of Jetsem ^^

Just dropping in to say that I happened to come across this suit at this year's Califur and it's possibly one of the most beautiful suits I've ever seen. Both
anjila and I followed poor Jetsam around the con because we couldn't help but stare at his gorgeous suit.
