Mephimorposis - a game about farting in other's faces!
Download it here! (Windows only)

The game have been updated on February 2016 (very minor update).
Mephimorphosis is a arcade-y fart-themed game made by me and charlievermin. After being captured into a science labs, you must use your newfound powers to take your revenge and destroy anything that stands in your path!
On every level, you have limited time in which you need to fart on as many enemies as you can and try to get the highest score. The scores are awarded for:
- farting on a human - 20 points. After you defeat them all, the level ends and you get 30 extra points for every second left!
- farting on destructible environment - 10 points. As of now, this means making the plants wither and shattering some screens. Useful for combos.
- the combos. Once you fart on two enemies/object in a short period of time, the combo bonus rises, ranging from 20 to as much as 1500 points.
Controls:
Arrows to move, space to interact, esc to quit to menu (without saving the score!)
Tips:
- the level times are just enough to defeat all enemies. Develop an optimal route through the level that will let you access everyone in order, quickly, without much chance for them to wander away.
- If you find it hard to catch the scientists, keep tapping space while you chase them.
- Before farting on scenery, try catching a nearby person first. This will make an easier combo.
- when you need to continue a combo quickly, seek the scenery or the people trapped in thin passages (so they wouldn't flee to the side).
There have been planned (and to some extent, developed) many more features, such as more objects/enemies to interact with and a more sophisticated story mode, where you would focus on progression and where you could actually die. That story mode would continue the tutorial and feature some new locations, such as city streets. Eventually I decided to compile and upload an alpha version, because what we've done so far was pretty enjoyable already.
I'll post any further updates, and for now, download and have fun!

I have a mac. This game's for windows only. If you want me to download it, then please make a mac port of this.
Sorry to hear this :( I'm afraid there's no possibility of ports with the engine I'm using. Maybe you could use a Windows emulator. Also, I might provide a video at some point.
Oh, thanks. I can't find any free Windows emulator, but I'd love to see a video of this.
wouldn't WINE be good?
https://www.winehq.org/
As far as I see it can emulate windows on linux and mac, and it's free.

This is a great game, but for an alpha, this is pretty damn good. I didn't see any glitches or errors, I had a lot of fun playing, it isn't too difficult though that's up to you if it's a good thing or not. All and all it's fantastic and I can't wait to see future development on it ^^
Yeah, it's probably not "alpha" as in "glitched" :) And about the difficulty, I guess you're just good at it. Did you beat my highscores though?
That I did not :P Though I did get the scores necessary to move forward hehe
Yeah, I set these to be relatively low. I didn't want the players to miss any of my levels :)
That really sucks is there really no way you could download these 2.4 megs?
nah its my computer wont let me download anything too many bugs on my pc, i'll wait till i get a new one, maybe for christmas
A friend of mine tried to use WineBottler with this and while it displayed it didn't work properly. A note to all Mac users this game WILL NOT work with Macs, period.
That I am unsure of. I have Windows and no Macs in my possession and so can't try.
This one is pretty tough.. haven't been able to get more than 16 out of 20 people so far.
I know you're planning a bunch of stuff but here's a few suggestions:
combo timer (so you know how much time you have left to do a combo)
fart clouds
struggling victims
I look forward to updates.

OMG this game is cute. Nice work, can't wait to see the finished product!
Thanks! It's great to get another comment on this after all the months. Maybe I'll develop the game further this summer... What are your top scores so far?
Only played one game and got something like 1500! :P But I'll definitely be playing more haha
This is absolultey brilliant.
o bad no one makes a squash based game tho, but this comes pretty close.
maybe some boss battles next :D

How do I use Windows on a mac? I know about a software called bootcamp that splits your computer into two different operating systems, but I'm afraid it's gonna mess up my iOS
For future updates, you may want to break levels up into multiple screens, since its currently pretty laggy even on high-end computers.
I got an error saying "The file hero1 cannot be opened." when walking out of the first room in the tutorial. :/
Crap. Apparently the version I uploaded was the one that was sneakily corrupted by my brother... hopefully I will have the working version uploaded by tomorrow. Fortunately the tutorial is not obligatory, as far as I recall...
Yeah, but I knida walked into it blind. X3
The rest was wonderful though. Not enough fart games out there~

I got it fixed! And judging from the popularity I should really develop the game further, I'm just conflicted about my game engine choice...
Just something that isn't RPG Maker 2k3... which is a problem because I don't really have experience with any other engines, but the current one is pretty limited.
I'm thinking about using the Doom engine, which has some limitations too, but it could be more fitting for an action game. And the source is available so hypothetically I could do anything. Using this engine would mean a 3d Mephimorphosis game! Or maybe 2.5d, considering that I have no idea about modeling and would probably use sprites, like in classic Doom.

Maybe try making a little sample of the doom one and releasing it in another post along with the current version of the RPG maker one and ask for some opinons?
I sure will, once I implement some basic algoritms. The latest functional version of RPG Maker Mephimorphosis is this one to be honest, I made some progress but it's very incomplete.
I definitely have some procrastination problems, and coupled with my engine choice dilemma it results with hardly any progress. But the people with interest in Mephimorphosis are always there, which is certainly encouraging and hopefully will make me deliver more.

I'm not actively working on it right now, but comments like those encourage me to keep it in mind! I can't promise anything, but recently I've been thinking about Mephimorphosis and designing some gameplay mechanics. I've also recently learned about a web browser port of RPG Maker 2k3, so now I'm much less hesitant to continue using this engine... I'd say there's a decent chance for a new Mephimorphosis coming out, someday!
Thanks a lot for your interest!

You can extract RAR files with a program such as 7zip (freeware)! Though I guess I could upload it as zip too.
I was going to upload a zip yesterday but it completely escaped my mind! I updated the link now, here you go:
http://download2268.mediafire.com/7.....imorphosis.zip
Hope you can get it to work alright now, enjoy!

I never made a definite decision that it's not, but I guess I should be realistic about it and still say: nope, it's not... I've been musing about continuing it, but it's not going anywhere and I think I'd be better off just making another game.
